Arsenal have had a similar rotten start to the season as Liverpool had last year [they had 5 points from 5 games]. Liverpool turned it around and still finished 6th, which would have been enough to secure a Europa League spot, had the FA Cup Final been contested by two of the top four. So when will Arsenal's fortunes change and where will they finish the season?
I still think they will come good - especially after they have gone back to St. Marys and nicked a few more of their youngsters Think they will make one of the Europa League slots.
Arsenal will come good again, there is still plenty of quality there. Any team losing players like Nasri and Fabregas will have holes that need refilling, and although Arteta and Benayoun are good players, they are by no means to the standard of Nasri/Cesc. Their strikers and midfield look fine though, but the defence needs to be drastically sorted. Vermaelen returning should help, but Song seems to have gone backwards, which would be a massive concern if I were an Arsenal fan. However, the top 3 spaces have been virtually secured already and it will be a battle for 4th spot. I fancy Tottenham to take it though, with Arsenal in 5th and Liverpool just behind.
