Whats your views on this if its allowed on NOT606 lol, i mean scientists etc have still not found any long term effects that are life threatening to the smokers, i like to have the odd puff as i dont drink and its relaxing especially watching a movie, anyone else agree or disagree on this subject? Ps Im against other drugs but i feel that weed is different and could be useful for the right people with MS etc...
Cannabis is an ambition killer, makes people lazy and paraniod. But make it legal and tax the drug, then use the procceeds to lower corporation tax for small and meduim sized businesses.
Of course it should be legal. Prohibition doesn't work, a lesson the whole world should have learned after the USAs disastrous attempt to outlaw alchohol in the 1920s. All they did was give organised crime a golden opportunity to establish a powerbase, which they continue to build on by controlling the trade in illegal drugs. And no, I don't smoke the stuff. it makes you weak and stupid. But you have the right to spend all day in a stoned haze if you want to.

Given our dependence on the European Parliament what laws would have to be approved? (Netherlands would vote for it no doubt) Far from there being no scientific research into the long term effects it has been widely published that high strength weed such as skunk can lead to paranoia, depression and long term mental illness. It is grown, distributed and sold by organized criminals. Gang culture in most of our major cities has been cited as being caused by turf wars enforced by drug dealers. Do you think they are all going to take up knitting when the Government starts to sell ganja in Tescos? The next step from the mongs who want this stuff made legal is to take a slacker view on other drugs, there are even similar calls to make heroin legal or at least not a criminal offence to be a user/caught using/in possession. Cigarettes will kill you, getting poo-faced on beer will kill you, I am not here to defend their abuse. "Weed isn't as bad as ***s" "You don't start a fight down the pub on weed" are all comments you will here no doubt. A bunch of chaps cremated themselves in Yorkshire recently cooking up hooch vodka. There will be just as much chance that their counterparts will decide to grow old Mary Jane to turn a profit by undercutting the expensive production of Government approved weed and you are back to square one. Try watching the Singing Ringing Tree, you will feel just as stoned.
