We should NOT dwell on what could have been against Arsenal. Saint's played well. To be successful in this division you have to get results at home. A 'Must Win Game' is a term used by supporters of football clubs that need to pick up points in difficult circumstances. There is clearly a need for Saints to win his game but we must not allow St Marys to become toxic. ... There was a need to win against Watford in the FA Cup Semi Final game at Villa Park in 2003 Let's win. Our season has commenced.
FFS Kevin Friend? I was quite optimistic until I spotted that. We'll play well I'm sure. Lets get behind them (again). We'll make the difference.
Well result for me. Not my turn to drive and going with my mate (who doesn't drink) and the driver (my dad ) Looks like 3 free drinks for me Ho Ho Ho! COYR! 3-1, Ings, Redmond and Boufal from the subs bench.
This appears to be a link to a 'dodgy' phising site. Notice that it is NOT sfcnews, but sfcne.ws, in other words a web site trying to pass itself off as a 'genuine' sfc web site. I could be entirely wrong, of course, in which case I unreservedly apologise to Saintrichie123, but I am unconvinced by the link. This link is probably the correct one: https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2019-11-27/southampton-watford-free-drink-for-supporters
That 2003 semi-final is one of my greatest memories...terrific day out. Always wary of games following a good performance/result....so going for a 1-1 draw.
This was the best thing about last season's fixture, Chaz's post match rant..gawd bless 'im. Think we'll win this time but it will be nervy I reckon, need an early goal to settle the crowd and manage to hang on to it for more than 10 minutes this time! I'd like to see Boufal get a start but he is very effective at coming on in the second half against tiring oppo's legs. I reckon that Ralph will stick with the same team though and 4 at the back is the way forward for me to make full use of our attacking options with a more attack minded and mobile centre midfield too. as we have to go for the win. Redders to score in a narrow win for us and could be the only goal that decides it.
Can't imagine why, but I'm feeling rather confident of an easy victory 2 or maybe 3 nill. I'm stone cold sober by the way.
Would be tempted with last weeks line up. Boufal makes things happen so happy if we could get him in the starting line up and begin the game on the front foot.
The club have finally realised that fans need to be pissed to watch us at home! Or, this season's first 3rd might have been a cunning ruse to lull everybody else into a false sense of security before our march to the top starts. Based on the aforementioned theory, the I'm going to say 10 - 0 with 5 first half and 5 second half goals because we've got form at that. Double hat trick for Dings and 4 from VAR at centre back.
I won't be watching. Will be working the next two weekends which means two definate wins, I have spoken!
Saints : good performance last time out - Watford : heavy loss at home, and concerningly for them the new manager bounce hasn`t happened. Surely at home Ralph will play a similar more attacking line up with a back four, with Armstrong instead of Romeu. 3-1 Saints.
McCarthy Cedric bednarek yoshi Bert Hojbjerg Armstrong Djenpo boufal redmond Ings is that attacking enough?
