Look mate I don't think there's any need for us to have any kind of pointless feud so can we just forget it? I'm sorry for being patronising towards you it's not a usual part of my character but it comes out at times when I'm annoyed.

I am a big fan of promoting home grown talent above importing misfits. In Humes case at this stage he needs game time to improve his positional play which is suspect. For now he is far more effective in an attacking role out wide, he is quick, direct and can do his share of tracking back, areas that McGeady is average at best. McGeady would be more useful to us in the central role behind the striker where, committed, he would be a revelation, He has all the qualities, wonderfully giftedi and an eye for goal, not too many of those in our current set up. This would strengthen the team in two current problem positions at once, by introducing De Bock at left back instead of sitting out the game on the bench as against Burton watching a shambles of a team selected and managed by a man not fit for purpose on current showing, we might have strengthened three areas of the pitch with one move. De Bock is far better than Conner from what I have seen and O/9 is a better bet for right back atm. This is just my opinion based on what I see, its worth a try, there are no certainties in football other than if you don't use your talent effectively you wont get anywhere, and atm we are going nowhere fast. i dont know why I bother. <laugh>

We underestimate this league at our peril, and not having the pace and power to deal with it has caught us out badly, someone somewhere either hasn't done their homework or are clueless maybe both. Our last two home games have been a shock to the system (no pun intended) but it was one that has been coming for a while. In each game we were matched in footballing terms and completely out fought physically and mentally, and lucky to get off so lightly.

He hasn't been lumbered with anything. He openly stated in his first interview that he had done loads of research watching previous games and that helped him in the interview. He took the job on willingly with his eyes wide open and he can't get a tune out of the players at his disposal.

Tbh he has made a very poor start, several players such as Grigg, Maguire, Mcgeady Leadbitter etc have been very poor.

The full backs haven’t been great either. I don’t claim that he’s doing a great job but the players have to shoulder some of the blame

Of course that is true...but it does seem as though the players liked Ross and are not so keen on Parky

Even the fans seem to prefer Ross to Parky but you have to ask why two managers who have been competent elsewhere seem to struggle badly here with this squad
