Exactly this... I have many many fond memories of SKP but none of them qualify him as a manager - neither does his recent CV. SAFC aren't in the position right now to do ex-players a favour - we need as close to a banker as possible.
Gray was a fantastic servant for our club and the best Left back ive seen in an SAFC shirt. Your stooping abit low slagging ex legends off. I think he made a good point.
I would take your hand off for Pearson, with or without Phillips. Didn’t he sign Mahrez and Drinkwater for about £35?, he’s a bit mental so should fit in up here np’s too.
I'd say so too. I would also consider anyone who wanted to actually play football as I think it's what would get the most out of the squad. I've got a hunch that Phillips would make a decent manager but he wouldn't be my first choice by any means.
The most annoying part of our recent history for us, imo, is Sam taking the England job. What a ****ing disaster that’s turned out to be for both of us, I couldn’t give two ****s if he was shady I bet we’d still be a pl team. obviously that doesn’t help us now lol but ffs when I think of the opportunity missed for both parties...
I'm not into the whole experience thing to be a manager. With have had a lot over the years with impressive cv's but couldn't do the job. Just want the passion back into our club and I think SKP would bring that in abundance. The club at the moment is dying a slow death. Need inspiration from somewhere....SKP and Peter Reid would certainly get things fired up. Give them till the end of the reason and see where it plays out.......with Reidy back should go down well on Netflix.
Whoever we get is a gamble. A seasoned successful manager like Parky can't seem to get a shift out of our players. Perhaps the players aren't good enough. Perhaps the genius of Jack Ross was to polish the turds playing for us and make them almost unbeatable. SD needs to support the manager in Jan. It will be interesting to see who comes in. With the right acquisitions we can get into the playoffs this year and Parky will get us up.
