Actual facts aren’t subjective. This is where public discourse has gone pear. As fact and opinion are regularly put up as being equivalent, they’re not.
The way in which they are conveyed to the public definitely is. For example: There are 21,000 fewer Police officers on our street since the torys first came into power in 2010. They pledge to increase the force by 20,000 men should they be re-elected, so the headline can read either a) Torys promise 20,000 more officers patrolling the streets or b) Tory pledge sees 1,000 fewer officers than in 2010 Both are factually correct but are spun to suit whichever narrative that particular media outlet wants to portray......(ie Torys good vs Torys bad)
Probably the wrong thread for this, but yes, how you frame a fact and the context of that fact is of course important, but an actual demonstrable fact remains a fact, and is not subjective. However, we live in an age where lies are put forward as fact, for example, 50,000 new nurses, when the actual reality of that figure is that they’ve included 19,000 in that number who are already nurses.......
Yeah I saw that, ****ing idiots! Why do they try to fudge things or use semantics to make things look better for themselves, why not just be ****ing open?
What? No, facts, actual facts, are errrmm FACT. You’ve patently been so successfully groomed and gaslit by the right wing that you can no longer even understand what an actual fact is.
Do you know that all policies and manifestos and doom mongering are just forecasts and predomitably lies yeah?
Unai given two games to show big improvement. Tomorrow and also against Norwich. Poch must be licking lip at prospect to manage Arsenal side with ****ty player. This was Arsenal fan believe?
Atletico Madrid are monitoring the availability of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino should they part company with Diego Simeone in the summer. (Telegraph) Monitoring his availability? He's a free agent ffs!
