Mourinho has ruled out Ibrahimovic to Spurs, saying it makes no sense for the Swede, as we have Harry Kane.
Contract Watch Random Belgian website DH reports that Toby is open to a new contract, suggesting his wage demands are around £94k - which can either be looked at as either an £14k a week increase on what he had, or the best part of half the £180k a week he was demanding a couple of years ago - although I'd be more inclined to believe it if Kristof Terreur made any mention of it Contract Watch II According to Dan Kilpatrick, we've also sat down to discuss a contract with Eriksen - and I'll let you all decide your preferred Narrative on this one... Eriksen Replacement Watch ...especially when the Express are reporting that we're taking another look at Nicolo Zaniolo Mendes Watch According to 90mins (via the Mirror) Steptonho's asked his agent to keep him informed about the status of Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias. While this makes sense in the case of Dias, as he's a Mendes client, it makes less sense in Fernandes' case as Miguel Pinho is his agent Also... please log in to view this image
Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes would be 2 good signings in January and would mean the Ajax three would become irrelevant before they leave
Levy Watch Remember how one random French source linked us with Lille DM Boubakary Soumare last week? Well it is probably worth mentioning his contract expires at the end of the season - and it is worth mentioning there were reports of us scouting him last season...
A young holding midfielder who has worked with most of our coaching staff and is available for virtually nothing? Hmm....
...which will inevitably lead to approximately 83,000 blog posts saying how we signed the next Pogba, since apparently all French midfielders of West African extraction are the next Pogba or Kante
Off You **** Watch While it does have to be said that Schira is Tier 5, at best this is obvious dick-swinging from Eriksen's agent - and Levy doesn't respond well to dick-swinging...
Apparently €100m Euros but I haven’t seen that confirmed. He’s not the player we need anyway so hopefully this puts that to bed.
Yeah hundred milly. Agreed. Great player but on the basis of our play it’s really not someone we should be spending our budget on this January. Hopefully it goes on Ruben Dias and a fullback or two.
I can’t see us spending big in Jan if I’m honest, if we do I think we’ll go for a DM. But that’ll be dependent on anyone moving on. Overall priorities over the next two windows have to be at CB, DM and fullback though.
Any sort of defensive reinforcements will do me. DM and can take your pick anywhere in defence although CB would be my first priority what with Jan’s age and Toby Bramble. Build the backline around Dave and go from there.
Toby Bramble But yes, build around Dave for now. Dave and Jan isn’t a bad combo but with Foyth looking like his future might not be at CB we probably need another prospect and another experienced head (like we did with Gallas or Leicester have done with Evans). Whether the prospect comes from the academy or not is another question of course.
Yeah him and Jan seem to work well but obviously Jan’s age and his contract situation means it’ll likely only be short term. It’s why I think Ake could be good. Left footer too which always helps. Though I do really like Dias, mentioned his name months back as being perfect for our style and now Jose’s here, the Portuguese connection could do us a favour. A Gallas option would be great too, never hurts to add a winner into the squad/ side.
Ake would be a great pickup, him and a more experienced head would be great solutions especially if we can keep Jan for another year or so.
