Thing is, apart from us (and that must be occasionally given how few goals we've conceded this season), how many teams actually scores from corners these days, and I mean in any division?
There was one that actually bounced off Bamfords chest and wide, okay he will say it caught him by surprise but if he’d bent down and put a head to it....
One short corner. End result: zilch. Ten long corners. End result: zilch. Not a fair comparison of the merits of the two different styles of corner imo
Evening all. Great result. I think that's another one we'd have drawn or maybe lost last year. Bielsa has got them grinding out results even when the oppo park the bus. I thought Costa was good tonight, he always seems to find a pass. IBWT
Interesting article & podcast. Useful for any Phillips deniers, if any such plonkers still exist. Apart from Captain Jackboot, that is! Most interesting paragraph: "For Phillips, the results have come in abundance. Ahead of Tuesday night's clash with Reading - live on Sky Sports Football - he's made more tackles than any other player in the Championship and has already created five more chances than he did in the entirety of last season". https://www.skysports.com/football/...BTKHi1Spql3F0TBrjxngyMRoiEK8aAKz_RouB4HJWLm8M
I don't think Harrison was in the game as much until Alioski replaced Klich and then he came more into the game but not a great game for him, except the goal of course.
I think that's fair comment. He excels more when he's got players supporting 1-2's, triangles etc. I don't see him as a traditional out-and-out winger - although he can when called on.
Well Reading only really had that black fellow who stood out, although their lad at the back who was marking Harrison was good. But teams are going to make it difficult whoever we play. second half much better, we deserved the win IMO. Philips had a poor game, well it wasn't as good as some of his recent displays. Harrison win a game again for us, when will the lad get a break from supporters.
