When you need a draw and you go 2-0 down early on it is very sensible to replace a defensive player with a more skilful one. I don't recall that happening under Poch though.

Jose has apologised for subbing Dier and explained that he did so to change the set up, not because of poor performance by Dier. Good management.

Well that was a bit of a crazy game wasn’t it?!

First half utter dreadful from Rose, Toby, Winks, Dier and Son. Dave was the only shining light in the first half.

Second half Winks got a lot better, Aurier going forward was an absolute menace, Dave was still dealing with everything and Dele became possessed. I thought Son was still pretty poor though although not as bad as the first half. One of his worst games for a while.

Eriksen changed the game too, boy why did he have to remind us how ****ing amazing he can be? That freekick assist was world class - world ****ing class. If Jose can get his head straight and recapture his form then he’ll be a real asset the rest of this season and leave on a high.

Think Jose’s lost the keys to his bus though! <laugh>. Jokes aside January can’t come soon enough, defensive reinforcements are a must. Toby and Rose need dropping immediately. Starting to see why no one bid the release clause for Toby now, Roma’s lowball offer is now looking like it was too generous.

There was a very small section that sang Poch’s name, equally a small section that sang Jose’s. Nice to see on both parts.

    A sub at 29 minutes

    Nice one Jose

Don’t want to but I have to say it

At 2 down under Poch we would have lost

Harry Kane gets to 20 CL goals faster than anyone previously

Exactly the right time for a non tactical sub.

Then moments have passed...it’s not as though we can switch that type of game on and off at will....where we were a week ago...following from the months prior....that Spurs would have lost tonight.

It’s a valid theory mate based on strong facts

Even Jose has credited the ball boy with the assist. :)

Side note, Oli Skipp walked by me after the game outside the stadium accompanied by what I presume was his Mum and Dad. Tottenham through and through.

No it's a good argument because it can't be proved either way but I take your point.

Diabolical first half. Totally unacceptable. Easily as bad as anything Pochettino dished up in the last year.
Danny Rose, in particular, looked like a Sunday league player and the team's clearly lacking in confidence and fitness.
Eric Dier playing to a decent level twice a week clearly isn't happening any time soon.

The second half was much better, but there were still spells of poor play and disarray.
Sissoko showed Mourinho why he's liked by the fans and Pochettino came to rely on him.
Eriksen highlighted the lack of creativity when we don't have someone like him in the side.

Jose must have been itching to play our front 4 whilst he was a pundit

Moura has been given a lifeline...I expect Dele, Moura, Son and Kane to be our attack and on form it’s scary as.

    Jose can’t believe his luck

Just watched the highlights and I'm surprised that Podence didn't get sent off for running on Alli.
One step might be accidental, but two? Nasty little hobbitses.

I think that he'll either make it a five and play 4-1-4-1 or he'll rotate Moura out and stick in Eriksen/Lo Celso.
We need a creative player in there somewhere.
