Some pish getting spouted on here about Tyson. Cùnt wouldn't even make the top ten of all time heavyweights. His record is padded, fulla Palookas. He fought next to nobody on his way up and fought in an era when the heavyweight division was dire. When he did eventually fight someone half decent he either lost or turned cannibal ffs.

Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight ever followed closely by Ali. Rocky Marciano is up there as well. There's a whole plethora of excellent boxers before Tyson tbh.

 

Tyson was overrated. He was box office tho.

His career was ruined by King and that wee tart he winched.

Holyfield beat him twice. And he’s a cruiser weight. Tyson was too short to be a proper heavyweight.

I'm certainly no expert on boxing, but I know that Tyson was great to watch when he was knocking out nobodys, but when up against actual boxers (and also a 42/1 shot) he fell short. Tyson was a street fighter.

Tyson actually had Douglas down for 13 seconds. #masons

his power was devastating and with the right team behind him he could’ve been a lot better. He lost Demato and also Rooney who were his mentors.

 

Yeah I know Douglas beating him was a freak result, hence Douglas was 42/1. My point is, any decent heavyweight would be able to jab Tyson all day long as like you say Tyson was short so his reach couldn't have been huge. Tyson was explosive and was used to getting it all his own way. He was definitely one of the most entertaining to watch. He wasn't a smart boxer though.
