Yep, I was expecting more. Especially when you consider the forum’s favourite trainer had 10 entered at the meet. The great man though has got some very top performers set to reappear at the end of the week. Champ, for instance, looks to step into Graded company over fences on Friday. Meanwhile, re one of his former charges, I see that Jenkins has turned up at Chas Longsdon’s and is set to run for him this term. Cost new connections £58,000.
Hold The Note needs to do some more schooling, so sticky at the fences. Taken out of my horses to keep an eye on! two winners at decent early prices made profit but could have been so much better. At least we’ve got Sedgefield tomorrow
Captain, can you let us know how Top Decision is? He ran a stormer and traded 1.39 before it all changing so quickly, I hope he is ok and well.
Hi all/Nass...thanks for all of your good luck messages today and support. Really thought he was going to win at one point. I watched the race at work and was getting quite excited when he surged in to the lead with 3 fences to jump. My initial reaction was one of surprise when the jockey pulled him up before the last. Happy to report though our fella is fine and jockey pulled him up to protect him. The ground went against us as they had quite a bit of rain and it was softer for sure than the official going description! 3 miles and top weight was bit much on that ground. But everyone is really chuffed with how he jumped today and all being well we hopefully go again next month.
Lol..he looked like the one that was least likely to win at one point and virtually ploughed through one of the last fences. Money came for that fergal horse...he had some weight in hand on Top Decision. Hopefully next race we will get some better ground..only 4 finished the race which suggests it was quite a test.. I thought jockey did really well overall..although i guess you would kind of expect that as obviously a top jockey..
yes , it was an odd race , two market leaders cut each other’s throats so to speak ,the race fell apart and both your lad and robin dickens looked like they would profit but it was the stamina of john groucotts that was left with the prize , fair play to lee edwards for not giving up ! yes yours will win soon i’m sure , but won’t be 12/1 !!
