Here’s a curveball potential signing.... I stand by for mockery. Bradley Wright Phillips. He’s 34 now, he’s been in MLS for years scored well over 100 goals over there, indeed rated as the best striker the leagues seen, plays off shoulder, good movement. Remember, we are in League One, he’s a free agent and his salary wouldn’t be daft. I think he could do a job on a short term deal. 185 goals in 440 career games. Most of them were MLS but that’s above League One standard.
Just think he’d score goals mate, and as his seasons just ended wouldn’t be a massive push to get him game ready. Contract to end season with option of a year, minimal risk.

Yeah can't blame you for that. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of it in the league we'll know more about who's up to the task after a run of league games. Seems like nobody came out of the cup games with any credit but I know they are better than that because I've seen it.

I'd be more worried if we hadn't had all that money injected into the club, thanks to actually having scouts now we should be looking at a better calibre of player. No clue how much influence Parkinson is going to have but we know that he wants pace and physicality so if we sign more slow midgets nobody will be happy.
Based on yesterďays performance it would be difficult to rate any of them, Whatmore and Benji did ok when they came on. I wish they could at least try to play with the effort, intensity and organisation as Sheffield United in the first half today. Its a long time since i have seen a Sunderland play like that.
