Why do you hate rugby so much? Because they are polite, lesser paid, harder men than in football? Seems a weird reason...

    Just a thought...

Will NZ throw their match against France? They'd then be in the easy half of the draw avoiding SA/Aussie in the semi...

The interesting thing about the NZ and France match on Sat is that many pundits now see this as the final, especially the way the quarters and semis seem to be shaping up. No team in rugby blow as hot and cold as France do. They blow hot and cold in each half let alone within a group or tournenemt. What is in no doubt is the skill and talent within this French team and IF (big if) they show up on Saturday they will give NZ their fill of it. This fantasy that NZ, SA and the Aussies are miles ahead of the northern teams is just that - fantasy. I dont think England, Ireland, Wales or France fear any of them. Northern teams regularly beat the southern teams particularly when playing up north. Scotland even beat SA recently. NZ are the stand out team, no doubt about that, but they have consistently failed to live up their own hype in World Cup. I'm not saying that they consistently sh**e themselves but their record is very poor for the self proclaimed best team in the world. This World Cup could cause plenty of surprises yet.

Sorry Kiwi, i'd been to a birthday party , had a few beers and thought I was being funny.

Reading this now, I can see its clearly not.

    Please accept my humble apologies.

What is funny though, is that I actually love rugby.

It's that type of 'We just have to turn up to win attitude' that has seen them come unstuck so many times before, I've a sneaking feeling they'll blow it again somewhere along the line...

There has always been plenty of this. No doubt that NZ have the best team and squad, but sport is sport and it often throws up some very fuuny results. While i think most people would like to see NZ win because of the sheer entertainment/joy they have given us over the years, i have a funny feeling that there will be a surprise winner.
