Euro 2020 playoffs 1st round straight knockout Slovakia v Ireland Bosnia v Northern Ireland Final straight knockout neutral venue (I think) Winner v winner
Apart from the (admittedly unexpected) Kaz defeat, we were beaten twice each by WC quarter finalists, Russia & world #1 ranked Belgium. Difficult to excel in those circumstances. Kaz away was actually the last game managed by Alex McLeish, who clearly was well past his sell-by date & apparently had been diagnosed with early onset dementia. Doubtful if Steve Clarke could have done better, tbh, but you never know. We did well tonight & were missing the likes of Robinson +/or Tierney at LB, McTominay at DM, Griffiths at CF, & Coops at CB, Also forced to play Naismith to keep out McBurnie & the even more overrated Burke. That's where the real problem is, although McGinn has now scored 7 in 5 games, if I remember correctly. Nice haul for a midfielder at any level, but superb at international level. Trying so hard to be glass half full. Will keep me going until the play-offs.
Find out on Friday, I believe. Latest name to be bandied about is Hungary. Think I'm going to be on a cruise when it's played, unfortunately.
Did you not see the love, from Kosovo, paddy's never had the home fans holding thousands of paddy flags up at an away game.
