You need to worry more about the public's firm perception of Corbyn as an antisemite, especially among Jewish people.

Historicity for the most part. I don't go with the media whitewash but he has kept some awful company including many who'd happily see our troops dead and some who have. I do not care for the current situation with many of our former troops involved in various court battles. I just have the feeling that he'll be more sympathetic to the prosecution than he ought, and it's a bit of a one way street.
I have no doubt that at a social-care level Corbyn will treat the Vets better than the current incumbent... and I fear for them if he gets another swing. I will be doing my damnedest to make sure that doesn't happen.
I'm meeting an ex-Para mate on Saturday and I'll be sure to get his take on it if the opportunity arises. I know he despises Corbyn. My pal served for 29 years. He's not alone in that opinion but I've yet to get a first hand raison d'être.

Corbyn can become the 'soldier's friend' in other ways Fez. It is estimated that there are currently 9,000 ex soldiers without a home - and one in ten rough sleepers in London used to serve in the army. Then there is the question of mental distress among soldiers - in 2012 more current, and former, soldiers died of suicide than died in Afghanistan. Then there is the question of the cutting of benefits for disabled and sick ex soldiers. This is where Corbyn can become a friend of the Army - not by supporting military interventions overseas against anyone the USA has classified as an enemy.

Is there a monumental conspiracy against Alex Salmond by 10 women or is he sleaze bag full of his own importance thinking he can do what he likes. I know which one I believe. He is facing 14 charges of varies sexual assaults committed over a 6 year period.

That lying little weasel Gove is disgusting. He lies through his teeth throughout the whole interview, whilst attacking the interviewer and doubling down on the Tory lies he's trying to expose.

Yes, the SNP are part of the election. A former leader's actions reflect the kind of party they are. These alleged assaults happened over a very long period.

Michael Gove was far too intelligent and smart for this guy to deal with, poor chap. Thankfully the new Tory government will include such talent as Gove in senior positions.

I think I covered your point regarding our Vets, as highlighted.
*he* means de pfeffel, for clarity

Those in HMAF (so far as I am aware from my various family and friends who serve) believe that Corbyn will leave us defenceless, or at least toothless. I'm all for not going off at the whim of whichever PotUS decides - look where that's got the world, Mr Blair! - but I think we should have a strong military and an independent nuclear deterrent, not one tied to the US as I believe currently exists. They will doubtless also cite Corbyn's republican tendencies within the UK and support of republicans across the Irish Sea.
I haven't yet read through the Labour manifesto so as to comment having considered that.

    Foreign policy and defence

    • A war powers act to prevent a prime minister bypassing parliament when trying to take the country to war.

    • An audit of the impact of Britain’s colonial legacy.

    • A judge-led inquiry into alleged complicity in rendition and torture; a formal apology for Britain’s role in the Amritsar massacre; allowing the people of the Chagos Islands and their descendants the right to return to their lands; upholding the human rights of the people of West Papua and recognising the rights of the people of Western Sahara.

    • Labour would commit to spending at least 2% of GDP on defence and initiate a strategic defence and security review.

    • Full commitment to a standalone Department for International Development (DfID), with an aid budget of at least 0.7% of gross national income.
No sign of getting rid of the army or the Queen as far as I can tell

It is well known that Corbyn is a republican but he is not prepared to be confrontational on that one. If she wants to call herself Queen, and half of the deluded British people want to call her that then they are free to do so, just as I am free to ignore her title which I do. I think if she went knocking on Corbyn's door that he would offer her a cup of tea, like anyone else.

I'm the same, I have no respect for the royal family but don't hate them, there are plenty of more deserving people <laugh>

It's still ridiculous that we have a monarchy, the only upside of this disgusting Andrew affair is that people will start rethinking the role of the royals going forward. Is it fair that he gets £270k a year from taxpayers?
