He's been reported as earning £8M (compared to the £12M at Utd).
Now it's "said to be" £15M.
    I can't see it being £15M.

Everywhere i read its between 12 - 15m for his salary. I'm assuming it probably includes bonuses in that figure

My guess would be that it is somewhere between the 2 figures - It maybe possible for him to earn £15m, but if he does I expect us to be parading some serious silverware at the end of the season (and I would imagine that those will be Levys expectations too)

The more I think about this the worse it gets:

    - "Jose Mourinho" chants at WHL(ffs please don't use this chant, get a new one).
    - Build up to the Chelsea game with our manager praising Fat Frank.
    - Poch may well end up in the Bayern dug out for our last group game.
    - Press baiting Jose and him inevitably biting and turning on players to protect himself.
    - Even in the best case scenario, he leaves us after 2 years in a mess after months of toxic behaviour.

It'll all be worth it to see us lift the League Cup again though <ok>

I've heard his basic is £8m and bonuses can take that to £15m.

That seems pretty fair on both sides. It's very Levy and as Mourinho wanted to stay in London, we were the only game in town.

He was never going to Arsenal. They're far too conservative to employ a loose cannon (sorry!) like him. For all Levy's financial prudence, he's never been afraid to go 'all-in' on a hunch.......whether he's any good at it is another question.

I hope that Lo Celso's loan has a clause for purchase that is binding on all parties. Lo Celso probably came to play for Poch not a bus driver

    It's got several clauses
i.) If we qualify for European competition, we have an obligation to buy
ii.) If we don't qualify for European competition, we have an option to buy
iii.) There's also reports suggesting that if we chose to make the loan permanent in January, it will cost us 20% less than if we did in the summer

Is that all you aspire to?

    The League cup?

Once again allow me to remind you that we haven’t just signed Neil Warnock or Eddie Beige Howe..or the like. If Levy backs Jose...we will win lots more. Is this a thoughtless opinion? I can prove otherwise.

Pochettino would definitely have done this. He never slagged anyone off and was happy to praise the opposition.
There's no way that he wouldn't have talked up the start that Lampard's had, which is fair enough, really.

He's only won eight league titles, eight domestic cups, two Champions Leagues, a UEFA Cup and a Europa League, though.

Pfft, my record on Football Manager (2012-ish I think) was far better than that.

You think Mourinho can get us competing with City and Liverpool, or the big clubs abroad? If not then it's really the domestic trophies that are on offer, unless we drop down into the Europa League(yay!). I was being flippant, of course, but the point stands doesn't it..

Eddie Howe has done a fantastic job at Bournemouth, dunno how you think he's beige. He has experience dealing with lower budgets, bringing through young players and playing exciting football. If we wanted to go for a manager who could create a new era for the club he'd be right up there as a candidate.

Ancelotti was the choice if we wanted a low risk appointment in the short term, and to reinvigorate what worked for us in the past - bringing through youth, playing on the front foot and getting more out of players who aren't as highly rated.

Jose was the choice for squeezing the last drops out of a squad that's been falling apart. Everything in his record shows he's the antithesis in what we need beyond the next few months. He favours the old guard and experience but our squad needs freshening up with more youth. He stifles exciting attackers like Willian and turns them into functional work horses(if Lo Celso even plays, that's his future). He has a better record of selling top talents than nurturing them. Tactically he's not changed since he first came to England and his solution to beating sides who press(our biggest weakness atm) is to pack the defensive third and try to get the odd counter.

Mostly though, I've never liked the bloke and it feels humiliating as I see his appointment as abandoning the spirit of what's made Spurs such a joyful experience these past few years. 3.5 years at £15mill a year, we're locked in now so I guess I'll have to make my peace with it at somepoint.

There's a difference between being polite and being great mates with someone though, isn't there.

I think Mourinho has as good a chance as any other manager in the World to get us up there. If we do have a problem it will be due to a lack of support from the Chairman.

Theres was no real Youth coming through under Poch so let's not use that as a stick to beat Jose with like we have a great academy and Jose is going to pull the plug

You find it humiliating that we have hired a man with a record as impressive as Jose's. I think that says more about the mediocrity we have become used to as as a collective fan base.

We lost our identity when we stopped winning silverware all them years ago...depends what you identify as identity. Poch's brand of Football was dogshit for the last year.

I think it scares some of our fans when we Dare To Do on the rare occasion...I didn't want someone like Eddie Howe because that's like going back to day 1 under Poch. We can't keep on going back to the beginning everytime...the journey needs to continue the way it's meant to in a certain direction.

It's trophy time now and should have been under Poch but he lost his marbles and I see no better man than Jose to give it a serious crack and to continue the good work of which Poch built the foundations

Reporter: Jose, you said before at Chelsea that you'd never manage Spurs, what's changed?
Jose: I said it before I was sacked *smiles*

It's probably fair to say none of us have liked Jose in the past, I certainly didn't. He's been a very successful manager with one of our fiercest rivals and he's shown to have a very arrogant side to him whilst being able to wind up opposition, his style of football a lot of the time has hardly been amazing to watch either but it's gotten results.

Now he's here though, I'm trying to look at it like how I look at players like Dele, if Dele didn't play for Spurs I'd probably ****ing hate him, he's a snide little prick who really likes going through the dark arts in football (although that side has died down of late, which I hope Jose can revive) whilst for the most part being a very good player BUT he's our snide prick and it's what draws so many Spurs fans too him because we know he annoys opposition fans.

If Jose gets results while pissing off opposition, I think he'll win over even the most anti-Jose of fans.

Ultimately he's now manager of Spurs so I'm gonna get behind him until I find reasons not too during his tenure. It's a clean slate for me and I'll 100% be singing his name at WHL, even if it might be a bit awkward after all the abuse I've given <laugh>.

This is very true for most fans. If they are the twats on your team its fine but on other teams you hate them. Tbh though when i see costa being a twat or drogba going down i just feel embarassed for them lol. Still though you celebrate every goal and when times are good you dont care but when times are bad (and they aren't getting decisions) it makes it far easier to criticise then
