I was listening to Laura Wood (on Talksport) pronouncing Young Boys Bern's home ground.... Stade de Suisse W@nkdorf ..... and giggling each time she said it .. .. .. .. she is such a lovely lady
The most recent patronising post by Kings Hill Addick to Reams in the 3 defeats thread - talking down to the moderator like a kindly schoolmaster - had a definite whiff of the 'Incorruptible' about it. Quite took me back to the days when IA would regularly lecture me from his moral hilltop. I almost got nostalgic reading it. However, Kings Hill's lecture had too much sensible football content to have come from IA. I absolutely love this notion that if Charlton fans who are unhappy with the weakness of our squad would just accept what Duchatelet has done to the Club and his continuing humiliation of Lee Bowyer, they would somehow magically enjoy watching the defeats more.
It’s worrying to hear Bowyer sounding p1ssed off again today. The strain for working for this turd of an owner, without the proper tools to do the job, must be immense. Let’s hope LB doesn’t stumble on the forum version of We All Bend Over, where the usual suspects are still making pathetic excuses for the Belgian pin up.
It is beyond galling to me that Lee Bowyer's success benefits Duchatelet. More than it benefits Charlton fans, in my opinion. It gives the impression that the Belgian knows what he is doing on the footballing side - which he absolutely does not. Roland hasn't changed, or learned anything. He knew it all from the start, in his closed mind. He never wanted what was best for CAFC. We were just a part of his experiment to prove he knew best about how to run a network of Clubs. And he still doesn't give a toss today. The day the Club is free of him will be one of the happiest of my life as a fan. Until we are free, there should be no acceptance of his mean, self-serving ways. Nobody should be thanking that bloke for anything. He's brought decline and humiliation upon us, and anybody who excuses him for it is suffering a severe bout of Stockholm Syndrome.
100%, but unfortunately the fella has landed on his feet in us being in a better position now than in January 2014 when he took over. He's going nowhere.
It's taken him six years to take one small step forward - after a marathon run of decline and incompetence. It's even arguable that we are any better off than we were in January 2014. By the Spring of 2020 it may not be the case at all. By the way, if Charlton lose on Saturday, they will have one point less than Chris Powell had after the same number of games (17) in season 2012/13.
And before @Royston Vasey comes bouncing into the Bromley S Wetherspoons tomorrow night, I was only joking with the previous comment
