Well said. I cannot believe how quickly some fans, and indeed the board, have chosen to forget/ignore this fact.
Sadly football is a microcosm of modern society and its values - self absorbed, fickle, impatient and in search of instant gratification.
Two goalscorers and a very good defence for a successful season. Ask Klopp. He's on his knees thanking someone!
The suggestion has been that Poch had alienated too many players, and that he had become too angry in himself to communicate effectively with the players.
Like Smithy said...surely a few should be saying sorry aswell Does anyone know if Eriksen said anything?
Players who've posted messages so far Kane Dele Son Gazzaniga Winks Sanchez Foyth KWP Players who noticeably haven't posted messages thus far Eriksen Vertonghen Alderweireld Dier Aurier Lucas Players I'm surprised haven't posted messages thus far Lamela Sissoko Davies Snivelling cowards who don't have social media so can't be judged on this criteria Rose
Not overly surprised about Lucas, got a raw deal under Poch. Dier lost his place recently so may be a little bitter but owes Poch a hell of a lot. Can maybe understand Davies, often been second choice under Poch, still improved because of him though. Lamela is definitely a surprise. Eriksen and Vertonghen were here before Poch and have generally been brilliant for the club so may feel they don't owe Poch much, although in the last 4 seasons they've enjoyed CL football so it wouldn't have hurt to have said something.
Hugo has social media but doesn't really use it: his last tweet was six months ago and his last Instagram post was six years ago Davies did say something in an interview after the Wales game and did look upset when he found out, although hasn't posted anything - although he's posted something like six posts on his various social media accounts since June
From Pochettino's book with Balague: please log in to view this image He's not talking about Spurs there, but his time at Espanyol. Sounds a little too familiar, doesn't it?
Don't suppose Espanyol had a little gobshite at left back who'd run to the tabloids to bitch and moan as he didn't get a bowl of jelly & ice cream on his birthday?
If Poch replaces Solskjaer (not beyond the realms of possibility in the next 6 months), then effectively Utd and Spurs will have swapped managers. Imagine suggesting that last December!
