We don't leave the dogs for more than 4 or 5 hours. They have each other for company. But on a busy day when both kids have activities in different directions it becomes a mission to juggle everything.

Plus when we go on hols it's ****ing expensive to board them as we won't use kennels. We tried them once when we went away for a weekend break and I ended up threatening to sue and report them. They go and stay with a lady we know but she charges ££.

The mistake we made was getting a second dog. Loads of people would take the lab while we're away but no one wants two dogs, especially as the second one is annoying as ****.

My dog is super needy, their breed's nickname is the velcro dog. I can't have a **** without him wanting to be in the room with me. He will lie on the sofa next to you or across your lap/feet but he just needs to be near you.

If you leave him home alone though he seems fine. I have never come home to find he has destroyed anything or misbehaved when home alone, if he knows someone is in the house is when he can be a pain. Try and shut him out and he will take the paint off the door scratching at it, can be annoying when you have a girl round

He should be locked up in a cage with his dog where the dog is starved until it kills and eats him

One of ours when I was a kid got mangled by a car. Back end gone. My dad finished it off with a spade. Not something I could have done.

Woke up one morning when I was a kid to see Tinker breathing his last breath outside on the grass verge.

Our first cat, Lucky lived till 18 years! Then I woke up one morning and she was sat in the corner of my bedroom with a ruptured eye. Off to the vet. Bye lucky.

When I grew up got two cats, we moved house and one of them decided our old house was a better place and decided to stay there.
The other(smudge) got killed outside our house by some boy racer twat along the street. I told the kids smudge had gone to live with the other cat that decided not to move with us.
I cried when I buried smudge.
Tink and smudge used to leave us presents on the doorstep. Best one was a very cleanly gutted grey squirrel. Them ****ers take some catching!

Anyway, I've got two mental working cockers now. Ones a ****ing eejit, the other isn't. The eejit would go for a cat then **** himself when the cat stood it's ground and did the arched back thing.
Jesus, I bored myself typing that **** <laugh>

Cats have never appealed to me, they’re just useless. My daughter has hours of fun chasing the dog around. If I had a cat, she’d chase it for 30 seconds, get scratched or bitten and I’d have to snap the cat’s neck and throw it over the back fence for the foxes. Useless animals.

Aren't the whiskers there so that they can judge if a gap is big enough for their body to get through? Might be wrong like.
