I won't deny anyone that and I wish I could , but due to my own stupidity I lost the ability and privilege to do that without doing a lot worse .. I tried a few times during recovery and the doorways to hell appear within 2 pints , so I simply cannot risk it ever again...

See having 2 isn't an issue for me, can quite happily have two drinks and leave it at that. It's once I go past 4/5 that I lose all ability to make sound decisions, like moderating my drinking.

I suspect that's the same as me but maybe your liver is slightly better … my tolerance to alcohol was never great , bit give me a couple of henrys and I would drink myself to death
