Why are Shrews fans so irritating?

I'm looking forward to hammering them. If i have to hear Floreat Salopia one more time, i'm going to kill someone.

Yep, God forbid a fan of his local lower league club get a little over-excited at the prospect of playing one of the biggest clubs in the country.

 

You have clearly not come across Atcham Jack.

 

Give 'em a break I say, this is their moment in the sun so let them enjoy it.
I've seen us provide so many clubs with their 15 mins of fame (York, Wrexham, Millwall to name just 3), there may not have been fan forums around then so pre game banter didn't exist as we know it these days but it's harmless fun.
Win, lose, draw, be magnanimous, they'll come and sing their hearts out whether they're 4-3 up or 8-0 down, chances are it'll be somewhere inbetween but just let them enjoy themselves....

 

It's a big occasion for them and Atcham Jack has also adopted us as his EPL team of choice. I'm sure he'll go to the Pool and Spuds boards and proclaim Up The Arsenal

 

I personally like Atcham Jack. I think he is a witty & persistent little bugger who is clearly excited at the prospect of playing us. To be fair, he should be excited considering the mess we are in at the moment.

 

cowboy from hell, you are well named. all i have tried to do is to add a little fun to what for the shrews will be a great occasion especially given our excellent form
man utd won, wolves won, derby county won, away, swansea and won 5 of our 6 last league games. i am very greatful to those gooners who have responded to my wild excitement threads. the gooners are by and large very friendly but there are some out there who are not used to strangers and lesser mortals and need to wise up.

tonight will be a great game and hopefully not too one sided.

to the unfriendly gooners, we are going to whoop the pants of the arsenal tonight. and purely for cowboy from hell and anyone else floreat salopia, amwythig am byth, come on you shrews breath on 'em.

Aren't Swansea the 'Jacks' and Shrewsbury the 'Shrews' or is this a bloke named Jack from a place named Atcham?

 

atcham is a little village to the east of gods own county town and thinking of scrumpy jack, the west of england cider, i christened myself atcham jack. in the bad old days when the shrews used to lose i used to rotate my name but it always had a shropshire connection. hey things got better for the shrews, so it stays atcham jack, ask derby and swansea and look at our league position. obviously some of the shrews are still coming, irritating isn't it. floreat salopia
