How nice to have some proper football to return to this Saturday, albeit at a 12.30pm kick off. Neil Harris’ first game in charge of the Bluebirds, and if we lose this one we really will be looking nervously over our shoulders. Lee Bowyer says that Lyle Taylor has a chance of making the bench on Saturday. It’s fair to say that both he and Jonny Williams have been missed.
As far as I can see Cardiff City haven't won away all season. Part of the reason why they now have a new manager. There is absolutely no way Charlton should lose this game. If we do (barring a wrong sending off or some other useless refereeing) then I would question the commitment of our players. A defeat would be the 4th in 5 games in the league. I can understand LB talking up Taylor's chances of a bench appearance, for the sake of fan morale. But is he really fit to play? The under funding of Charlton's medical facilities is costing the Club any chance of a decent season. We are back to square one.
No news on Bonne. If he's still out that will leave us with Leko and Davison up front, which would increase the temptation to bring back Taylor too soon.

Hopefully the 12:30 Saturday will be better than 12:00 Sunday. The 5-4 was an evening one, which is always better.
I cannot see Taylor being risked. If he is to be sold in January, his goals over the Xmas period could be the difference between us staying up or not. It’s noticeable that there has not been a single word about “Taylor’s new Charlton contract”
Johnny Williams, Dillon Phillips are another two whose contracts expire this summer. Naby Sarr also. Any more? Oh yes, the Brighton two, I'd forgotten about them. Cullen and Gallagher will be gone, Cullen possibly earlier. Lockyer will be attracting attention with the quality of his play, so this summer we face the same situation again, except that Bowyer will be gone.
Albie Morgan has been recalled from Ebbsfleet. Makes sense, with our injury problems, Pratley suspended and Gallagher one yellow away from a suspension. I wonder if he'll leapfrog Kayal in the pecking order?
