    Why?
In case he side swipes parked cars whilst pissed on live television and kids start to drink whiskey for breakfast and crash into parked cars in an attempt to emulate Ant?
The guy drank too much, crashed his car like a knob, then he went to rehab and presumably paid a fine and had his license suspended, same as anyone else would.
Why should he never be able to work in the only field he has ever worked in, ever again, for the smallest of crimes?
If he ran some kid over or something then yeah......

oh so that's it then just don't run anyone over and because you're famous people will sympathise ? he is a role mode for an increasingly pathetic public! if it was you or me and it went public we wouldn't be able to walk down the street.

He got into a mess after an addiction to pain killers that were prescribed to him, this led to depression and problems with alcohol. I don't want to start making excuses for the guy but sometimes life isn't so black and white and not every celebrity is a dickhead that thinks he can do what he wants. The default of the social media generation is to condemn anyone even slightly famous if they even slightly step out of line as if us the general public are the perfect example of how life should be lived.

    This.

One small mistake and thats it. His career should be over, he should be put in stocks and flogged through the streets and forever branded as a scumbag!
Why the **** do idiots insist on everyone that appears on TV be completely morally pure and virtuous in nature at all times!
People **** up for ****s' sake!
There are different degrees of ****ing up.....getting pissed and pranging your car (and hurting no one) is a crime that deserves a license suspension, a fine, plus rehab......he served his punishment, let him well enough alone ffs!

Now Prince Andrew, that's a guy who needs to be taken to the ****ing cleaners........

there's reasons why regular people get in a mess , but they don't get any sympathy at work pissed or on drugs … I don't care if he's famous or not they need to clamp down on these arseholes especially the ones that don't need the money and the penalty isn't high enough to stop them driving under the influence … its attempted murder imo because its murder if you kill someone . that will stop them! giving them a pointless fine and keeping their tv jobs and getting sympathy wont deter them at all.

So you're saying we should adopt these barbaric punishments for seemingly small crimes?

If not, why else would you bring that up?

And you think that the aggressive way we should be dealing with it is by black listing people so that they can never find employment again?

Tell me, do you think that will make the person :

    a) more virtuous
    or
    b) Force them to turn to crime for a living since all legitimate means of earning money have been cut off to them?

he's rich he doesn't need his job and I suspect that's half the issue .. I doubt he will turn to crime AGAIN because he's not hosting a tv show

the penalties for crime in this country are too weak its a joke

Your employer would sack you if you got a DUI?
    Mine certainly wouldn't.
I don't think they could, legally.....

Besides, I am pretty sure Ant and Dec own the rights to "I'm a Celebrity....." so if ITV axed them, they would just take their show to another channel, who would pick it up instantly because its a cash and ratings cow. So the only ones who would lose out are ITV!
