Once Wilshere is back we will control the midfield in most games again and take it from there. Too many games now without him are too open and end to end so the defence gets exposed. Yes Wilshere is THAT good and can control a midfield.
Arsenal have a better squad than Liverpool, and the spurs squad is small, so any injuries, and they're screwed.

Not really. We have a better defence then last year. The players anyway. Cesc missed much of last season and was never at his best and Jack was our best midfield player last season. From last season, Nasri's form is the big miss.
I'm sorry, but Wilshere can only do so much. All we need to do is start Frimpong instead of Song, because he is a real DM, and loves getting stuck in. That sorts out defensive frailties immediately, and we don't lack any attacking prowess whatsoever, so one change will fix the entire team.
I mean small starting calibre squad. We now have depth, spurs are screwed the moment a senior player goes down injured. The first 11 isn't as important as a good squad, if you only have 11 good players, you're gonna have a ****e season.
I disagree based on your defence. You have signed a defender who is too slow and immobile and he will get caught out against quick attacks who play the ball on the ground
He can do a lot. If you watch the games, then you will see that we have zero control in midfield. Wilshere retains the ball and makes sure the game is not end to end rubbish.
You have to get it out of your head that wilshere is god. He isn't. As i said, we only need one change, and that is to get rid of song. When we have Frimpong covering the back 4, the game will be more controlled then. And a controlled game allows players like Arteta to make a real difference.

Better defence? You lost Clichy & bought in Mertesacker & Santos I would say slightly improved at best. Wilsheres big year is this one, he played well last year but Wenger has put too much pressure on him IMO & he could suffer second season syndrome. He needs experience alongside him, **** all this youth bollocks which has failed him for so long. A tough experienced centre mid to allow Wilshere the freedom to play the game
I'm not even sure he's that good against aerial attacks either. Samba gave him a rough time at set pieces. We've still got the verminator to come back from injury though, that'll give us some leadership at the back.
Can you remove that last name from the list please. I wouldn't count Djourou as a defender, hell i wouldn't even count him as a football player.
You need to go back to last season and watch the games he played. Keeping the ball is one way to protect your defence and this guy alongside Song can do that. He is perfect at setting up attacks with QUICK passing and taking on players. Frimpong is still to young to play that role week in week out.
