Any highlights from yesterday's game to save me from staring at Sky Sports News! It's all about Man City or Man Utd! Arrggh!!
Looks like we'll have to wait for the BBC. Not even a Football League show to allow us to see our gallant Lads. I just suspect they might show some highlights during the League Cup show, this Wednesday evening. But don't hold your breath for it.
It's on saints player now. It's with the guy with the annoying voice, not sure of his name. Sounds like its been added post match.
I've been flicking backwards and forwards on SSN all day and it's all Man Utd this, Torres that! I'm fed up with it!!!!
We even got a mention on the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning, in the sports news at 8:30. That, believe me, is a very rare honour for Southampton F.C.
We had decent coverage in the papers because we were the only Championship game yesterday, but the Sky coverage was dreadful. They just kept repeating all the Prem news, fair enough but I think we should have had the occasional mention. But then we're not Brighton, so what can we expect.
Just seen the extended highlights on Saints Player which clearly shows Connolly was onside for the fifth. Can’t complain too much though, 4 goals against one of the fancied teams is still pretty good going in my book! lol
Loving the highlights from saintsplayer. All angles, slow-mo plus the Solent commentary makes for great viewing. Guly's volley was struck so sweetly it's unreal!
Yeah, I've seriously got to register with the Saints Player again. I'm glad of the the BBC highlights, but they make nothing of the quality of Guly's sweet strike, yet anyone with a memory of a modicum of talent knows that was real quality. It was the most impressive goal of the 4, by dint of his timing and skill. A similar, but easier strike was made by Lallana for the 3rd. Guly's return to Richardson was perfectly weighted, for him to feed Adam. Chaplow's goal was a lovely move; and a smart, defence wrong footing pass from Lallana, left Chapper's with all the time in the world. But he made an excellent job of tucking it away. Even Rickie's penalty, in after thudding off the post, had a precision about it. By goodness, the Lads look good. Sweet attacking football. And no mention of Connolly's offside goal that probably wasn't..!
The Championship won't get much of a mention if we are at the top, the press will wait for West Ham or Leicester to get there before they take any notice
They are asking for people to sponsor players: can't believe that Guly and Connolly don't have sponsors.
