This was a bit crazy, lucky the helmet hit him on the padding. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cb...et-at-steelers-quarterback-mason-rudolph/amp/
so what's happened to this non slip stuff? wouldn't it be easier just to stick it to your shoes, that way you won't slip anywhere?
lightweight stick on soles, cut you your size, a bit like an insole, but an outsole with grip. we could be onto a winner mate, do you want to buy any shares?
Strange situation at work.. So Thursday i spoke to my shift manager, told her about my nans death, and said i need next friday off. No problem she added, who is your DM (department manager), ok i will speak to him. So yesterday are the shift meeting, she pulls me and says she sent and e mail, go speak to your DM. So i goes to see him, explains i need Friday off, I know, he says, not a problem, but you are entitled to 5 days. 5 days mate, i only want Friday, take it mate, you're getting paid for it. But i'm off on Monday and Saturday next week as my days off, and also Sunday (new week) But i really only need Friday, leave it with me mate. Ok. So an hour passes, he comes to see me, Right mate, as from Monday, you're not expected back in till a week on Tuesday, it's ben agreed by head office. WTF? i only wanted Friday, but now will have 8 days,
One last gift from your Nan. Use the time to do something productive in her memory maybe, or get the train down to London and boot sucky around. It’s good to have considerate employers, take it if it’s there.
. This is the same shift manager (when they were pushing for written warnings etc about truckgate) who just turned round and said ;idon't want to do anything', but just take a verbal, and it's over ffs. Then my DM says, it's there mate, take it, your getting paid, just **** off and relax for a while. Mind, they'll probably expect me to do about 800 hour weeks over xmas
Nah bro you’ve got 1500 fried pigs in blankets to get through, there’s no way you’ll be on the overtime at Christmas.
That’s decent that mate. A lot of companies only do this for ‘immediate family’ like parents, spouses etc. Enjoy the time off!
Always been a bit of a peeve of mine. How can a company define who is immediate and who isn’t? Personally i’m really close to one of my uncles (big age gap between him and my mam) so he’s only 7 years older than me. He’s like a brother to me, but if he died, a lot of companies would only expect you to take time off for the funeral, even though I’d be in absolute bits.
