In all seriousness, A) Who would replace Grayson? B) Who in their right mind would work with Bates? PLEASE, dont anyone suggest Wise or Hoddle!
A - Clivetime B - Clivetime He's the only man for the job, his knowledge of the game is second to none and he can bring in all the great players SG has been unable to lure to ER.
In an ideal world I would love to see Bates go first selling the club to someone who cared. At the start of the season I just wanted Bates out and I agreed and argued against a few calling for Grayon to go stating myself he is the right man for the job at this moment in time and sadly he probably still is. However my support for him is waivering, some of his decisions leave me scratching my head. Nunez wide left, what a waste, signings like Paynter, Bessone and co and I have been wondering for a while now, if he was given 2 millions to sign players would it be 2 million down the pan.
1) I don't believe Grayson will get us promoted to the premier league. 2) I believe we wouldn't get a better manager at this moment in time, all things taken into account. Sad thing is we are no longer a club a host of managers would jump at the chance of managing. I bet Poyet wouldn't even leave Brighton for us and I would love Adkins to take charge of us tomorrow but it isn't going to happen, you have to be realistic, who could we get?
No manager could get us promoted. We don't have the players to get promoted, because we don't offer the wages that it would take. No manager wants to work for Ken Bates. Simon Grayson would easily be able to get a job if he left Leeds, but it's probably only because he is a Leeds fan and was born here that he hasn't left. SG has led us to promotion, and a 7th place finish last season. This season, we'll end up midtable/top half. That's a good record and is in no way failure. Look at the pre season odds for promotion - we didn't figure among the favourites because we didn't get in good enough players.
Tonights game really showed how weak our back four are and Snodgrass, surely he will be dropped until he gets his act together.
Spot on there. Were simply not good enough and as long as Bates is at the helm, were not going to sign anything better than what we have
