Hi fellas i dont suppose we could start a game rating system for each game could we. Currently away on business until the first week in March, dont get many highligts now we are not in the prem. Player rating would at least give an indication of how you see each player performed in the game. Thanks in advance. UTT
We could set up maybe one of those voting threads every week? which would allow you to rate each player then you get an overall snapshot of each player based on the overall majority average? This would show the players average score in a graph making it easy to see at a snapshot Does that sound like it would work? (any one with the voting thread exp)
If that could be done it would give all us lads who work or live away from Hull the full SP regading how the supprters feel the players are progressing. Its just the voting thing like you say i'm sure someone can help there. Thanks UTT
For the Scunny game, I'd go with something along the lines of: Guzan 6 Dawson 8 McShane 6 Chester 7 Gerrard 7 Cairney 6 Koren 7 Evans 7 Stewart 8 Fryatt 9 Mclean 9 (Barmby 59) 8 (Belaid 82) Not on long enough (Solano 85) Not on long enough
Thanks OLM something similar each week would be fantastic. The one away game i miss and we score five, who would have believed that. By the way did you go to the madness concert this last weekend ?? Cheers UTT
Is there a way we could implement a voting system where everyone could vote so we could get an overall majoirty rating out of 10 for everyone?
I dont think that would work cause you'd have to have a poll for every player, which would probably mean a thread for each player per game!?
Always wondered through browsing the various sites why there isn't ever a regular player ratings poll. for those who don't get to every game they're always greatly useful.
Possibly so, but I never like rating players on the basis of a ten minute performance, particularly when it's a new player and we're already bossing the game.
I'd go along with OLM with the exception of; Chester, never put a foot wrong, I'd score him 8 Koren, involved in all the goals, I'd also score him 8
Can see where your coming from but the lad needs a mention for his assist he put through. As some posters may have not been at the game, and rely on the 'Burnt Swann show on Blumberside.
Here's my starting 11 scores: Guzan 6 Dawson 8 McShane 6 Chester 7 Gerrard 6 Cairney 5 Koren 7 Evans 7 Stewart 7 Fryatt 9 Mclean 9
hard to disagree with OLM or Manchester Tiger's team ratings in general, one change I would make is giving Koren at least an 8, nearly everything good that we did went down our left hand side and Koren was involved in 3 of the goals by my reckoning
I agree, although i wasnt there surely it is hard for us to win 5-1 and our midfield only getting raitings of 7 out of 10. Surely the assists where coming from somewhere? I saw Fryatt scored the 3 and assisted 2 (which maybe means high score than Maclean?) but who assisted Fryatts three?
One was a complete defensive mixup, one was a ball that dropped at Fryatt's feet from a corner and one was penalty, although that did come from good work involving Koren, Barmby and Dawson down the left. Fryatt's first was assisted by Koren, but McLean and Dawson had big parts to play in the beautiful build-up, and the 4th one (McLean's 2nd) was assisted by Barmby, but again involved Koren and Dawson. All, in all, the front 2, Koren and Dawson were awesome and all deserve at least 8. Evans and Stewart were very good too, and the back 4 were solid.
From what I saw of the highlights McLean and Fryatt are players in the Waggy mold, they get around the goal and just smack it into the net at any opportunity. Goal poachers and hard workers we have missed that for a couple of seasons. Jozy Altidore had his good points but he did fanny about a bit in the box, few more goals coming from our strike partnership this season I think. Perhaps because they come from lower divisions they do'nt over complicate things that might be the secret
Is it like the old Sunday People ratings with 4 = stinker ? We need to know what each score out of ten means. I seem to remember the Sunday People scores never went below 4. I haven't bought the paper in years. Do they still have those ratings? I think they were the first to bring them in.
Guzan 7 Dawson 8 McShane 7 Chester 7 Gerrard 7 Cairney 6 Koren 7 Evans 8 Stewart 8 Fryatt 10 Mclean 9 I don't often give anyone a ten normally but Fryatt i think deserved one. People will get on the back of Macca, but i highly rate him he is a good player and i think he gets far to much stick. Overall it is hard to give anyone on a day like we had, however Cairney is a good playerbut he struggled on his first start back in the side.
