From CAST website …. CAFC Head of Recruitment Steve Gallen was a brilliant speaker at the CAST AGM on Thursday evening. He was eloquent, thoughtful, candid and diplomatic. He answered questions about: His role as Director The management team contracts The injury situation ("Hopeful that Lyle will be involved for Cardiff") The success of recent loan signings Thomas Driessen Player clashes in training Relationships with other London clubs Darren Pratley and Lyle Taylor The January transfer window Integrating Academy players The role of supporters Last minute goals V.A.R. There will be a full write up of the Q&A session as soon as we can manage it, but this might take a few days. In the meantime, here are a few quotes: "We all want stability and to be able to plan. We can't keep on working window to window" "Lyle Taylor is the best signing I've ever made" "Second best is Darren Pratley. He's getting better as a player" "Lee Bowyer loves Charlton and he loves coming to work" "I understand why people are boycotting but they are missing out. The football is good and the atmosphere is great" AllHell
@AllHellLetLoose He can’t be having a pop at @Beware of the Virus , who as we all know still attends the Valley to secretly buy programmes
We are lucky to have Steve Gallen. The owner needs to tie him, Bowyer and Jackson to longer term contracts. To offer them only one year contracts is folly.
Nice to see you back posting Dick, I hope the treatment is going well.... God's speed back to full health
Thanks mate, the treatment makes me very weak. I find it extremely frustrating that I can't do much. Whether the treatment is working, only time will tell. Thanks for your good wishes, it means a lot.
Best wishes Dick - I didn't know you were under the weather. Hopefully you'll be back at the Valley before too long.
Sorry to hear you're really up against it DickPlumb. Like all others I hope better times are ahead for you. I'm disappointed that SG isn't interested in Charlton fans who continue to boycott, but I'm not surprised. He's an employee, so he has to toe the line. And it's the Charlton way now to play up the positives (now we have some) and sweep the real problem under the carpet, pretend it doesn't exist. When Duchatelet ****s him over, along with Bowyer and Jackson, and the fans who are making the atmosphere so great at the moment, maybe he will 'understand' a little better than he already does.
When CAST post the minutes of their Q&A with Gallen, can someone please post them up on here. Let’s not be like Ben Hayes, and need to “know first”.
