.....he offers free broadband to everyone when BT is re-nationalised. If he offers free Premier League football on BT Sport as well, it'll be a labour Landslide BTW, has Royston seen this thread yet?
I've just read up a little more on L:abour's "promise" of free broadband. Everyone won't get it until 2030 - and I don't mean half past eight. What a joke. Do they seriously expect anybody to believe such guff? We'll give you a freebie in 9 years time, although we'll definitely be out of power again within 5 years, probably much sooner. Incredibly weak stuff. Is that really the best they can manage? Labout could win the Election if ... they ditch Corbyn and Momentum, and return the party to decent mainstream politics. But that ain't going to happen between now and December 12th. Still, they will have plenty of time to sort it out after the election, when they may find they aren't even the official opposition anymore.
That would win him Greenwich & Woolwich ...which thanks to Labour’s immigration policies are already their safest seats.
Labour remembers that it’s the party of the proud, patriotic working class in this country. People who go out and do a days work, not scrounge benefits. People who respect the Queen and our Armed Forces, not back every anti Western jihadi. I never had a problem with the likes of Jim Callaghan & Peter Shore & Denis Healey - all war heroes and thoroughly decent men. This current mob are an obscenity.
I have always been a fan of our Armed Foxes ….. I was once told that they were trained by @Ponders Revisited on a Wessex farm
this is what happens when you start me off on the modern Labour Party - I lose control of my fingers - I literally hate them !
So Labour are going to run a new company called “British Broadband” I wonder who will be in charge of this new hi tech start up ...competing against the City brains and the likes of Branson & Murdoch ? How about they send for Richard Burgon ....or Rebecca Wrong Daily ...or super dim Jess Phillips ? The £20 billion will be gone within a month. As Mrs Thatcher said back in the 80s....the State is incapable of running businesses that should be left to experts
............there is a parallel universe, as in His Dark Materials. (This was intended as a light-hearted thread btw)
This is a good thread FHB. Most of us don't dislike the concept of the Labour movement, indeed some of us are from long standing labour supporting families. Pretty sure my dad's family have voted Labour for as long as they had supported Charlton - nigh on 100 years. Personally I couldn't stand Blair, and I cannot tolerate Corbyn. The Labour Party badly needs to sort itself out.
After my post I lost my internet for about two hours and I had a fresh Fox poo on my doorstep.... I withdraw any comments about @Ponders Revisited training our fury red and white friends and understand that this was in fact fake news. @Ponders Revisited recent visit to Syria was in fact to study temples at risk due to the war against terrorism, PEA's red and white friends were in fact flame haired Scottish archaeology students and not as previously stated weaponised Foxes. I used the same source as Tony Blair did with regards to chemical weapons in Iraq and can now see the error of my ways. Apologies PEA my error
Meanwhile....as @ForestHillBilly desperately tries to worm his way out of his Virgin Media contract ...
The old old problem choosing a leader on the basis of their left or right wing credentials, rather than who is best suited for the job. The Conservatives are going down a similar route now.
