Eventually by FPP after listening to donald you must be barmy He obviously couldn't say as its confidential on the FPP side but reading between the lines, this is a full takeover In the coming years without a doubt
I missed the Donald interview, can you explain how a loan that Madrox will pay back is a takeover? Or was Donald suggesting that they'll convert it to shares rather than pay it back?
Just listened to that. He blathers on a bit, doesn't he. "I'm doing it for the benefit of the community".. haway man, you're doing this to make money. if they **** up with this FPP investment he can just cover it anyway. unless he thinks he cannot take SAFC any further, but there is no way he is going to give up on his £20+ million invested so far.
It's not a full takeover at all. It sounds like it could possibly be, somewhere down the line if Donald proves himself, but whether he does that or not, remains to be seen. It also leaves the door open that a better opportunity might come along for them as they've not put their money down.
I don't know about full takeover but if Donald succeeds the yanks step in, if he fails they also step in. The only difference is if he succeeds he's got a shot of staying on.
That's not true though. He's never going to default because he can afford to pay it back. But he could do an average job where the Americans don't see anything worth investing in over a longer period. There is absolutely no guarantee of them investing at all beyond this loan.
There are very few guarantees in life but common sense tells me this is the start of them stepping in permanently.
His net worth prior to taking us over was estimated at under 10m and that included all assets. He never had 20m of his own money and certainly not to invest in a notoriously unpredictable business like football. He's borrowed money and us using parachute payments. Not getting promotion has resulted in his ar5e falling out and seeking investment. I'm trying to be positive about all of this, and in fact I feel far more confident with the yanks intentions than donald and methven
I dont believe that for one second for a myriad of reasons. Firstly bury had little in the way of any assets and their stadium is/was pretty run down. They certainly didnt have millions in the way of parachute payments to come in. Their crowd revenue is/was miniscule so would never cover any working capital in the way that ours does. None of their players were worth a jot whereas o9, willis, hume, embleton, kimpioka and mumba would bring in a few mill. So nothing at all like bury. Sounds like an 'I heard from a station taxis driver' type rumour. Zero credibility
I've just listened to this..seems to me he manages to say a lot, but ultimately doesn't say anything. It strikes me his hands are now firmly tied by this new agreement, but he fends questions off with all the skill of a front bench politician
