I like the guy but it does appear he ballsed that up badly. You'd think he'd know not to say anything instead of saying something damaging.

You're probably right and someone (roughly) from the area would be better for the job. I'm not saying I'd sack him for that necessarily but he might be better in a different role. Sounds like he did very well at getting the club on an even footing financially which can't have been easy.

 

It's a loan to Madrox who have used the loaned cash to invest in the club.

What I know is Richard Hill has been a serial failure with clubs, mostly at a lower level than us all his career. Please point to his string medals and trophies won as an administrator if I am wrong, and I don’t count his no doubt heroic promotion to the Conference with Eastleigh, sorry if I appear harsh in that!

 

So all of this talk over the last month that it was only ever "investment" and never a takeover was bollocks.

This £10m being "investment" is also bollocks as it's a loan. Madrox might invest it into us, but then they could have just invested the parachute payments that Donald took out in the first place.

Obviously, it's positive of you believe what he's saying about the Americans looking for long term investment, but right now they haven't committed at all. They've essentially put a small deposit down and asked the current owners to proves themselves capable of running the club before they decide whether to invest further or not. Donald is obviously convinced that he's capable of that. I hope he's right.

Bit of a mixed bag that.

 

But we don't know what he has done here.

to be honest all the back office stuff does little for me. Getting the players enjoying performing in front of the biggest crowds they ever will is all that matters imo

I'm pretty sick of it too I hope that now we can draw a line under it. It has been interesting but never in my life have I seen such scrutiny over every word uttered from the club and an insatiable demand for details about finances. It's clear there's no wrongdoing or the yanks would have run a mile like they have several times before.
