Indeed. Apparently we delayed bringing VAR in to provide our refs with training... for what? ... to not look in a monitor that is there to help them get decisions correct? <doh>

It’s worked pretty well in RFU for some time now. Virtually all the refs are willing to accept that they may have made a mistake. They will openly ask the fourth official what their opinions and recommendations are. If still unsure, the ref will ask to see the incident again for himself.

We went through this, but it’s our technology - we built it. If we know that certain aspects of it have a margin for error, that should be factored into the final decision. Instead it appears that the technology is being applied incorrectly.

  3. As someone said on the Danny Kelly Show (TalkSport) last night, VAR is being used to try to justify disallowing a goal.

    Unless it’s ‘Pool, of course.

Complete bollocks . VAR , apart from offside , was used to justify the refs decision. Now it is just a toss up what the VAR official does due to the outcry about them never changing a subjective decision .

I loved the mafia games, but they became too swollen and pretentious with all these ridiculous new roles and rules. Too hard to keep track of.
If they were dumbed down slightly I could get back in to them.
Its just that I mostly played them whilst at work, and I didnt have time to trawl through all the ****

From memory you was split up into something like three teams, dependent on the team you was in, your tasks would vary, to win the game. There was lots of fookery and trying not to get sussed out by any dirty tricks you played. To be fair, in the early days it was a good laugh, some took it more serious than others. Generally I just tried to cause as much chaos as possible.

Played on the toon board. You had a time deadline to work out various scenarios, basically trying not to get sussed by the other team, what your task was. Then there was some sort of vote off, and it would have to be completed say by 11pm. The most voted for loses and is killed off out the game. So you had to keep your team strong with bullshhite, and only you knew what team you was in, so it was like good guys, bad guys, sheriffs.
