Yep...the trouble is VAR did a very similar thing on the first day of the season in the City v West Ham match, it repeated it in the Leicester spurs match so it is now stuck using that standard. Either the offside rule needs to be rewritten or VAR needs a 30 second time limit to make a decision ... otherwise these decisions are here to stay. I was at the game and VAR was a joke...just as it has been from the first game I was at when it was used.
The offside bar is set high to make it consistent ! If they let one go for being a cm off arguments over them being only 1.5 cm would start.. winging ... at least all the offside goal arguments dont exist
Only they do, as the lines are drawn by the official and like yesterday he still managed to get it wrong. Same as the Mane disallowed goal last week.
Undoubtedly. City’s weakness at CB will be exposed for what it is today imo. The importance of the loss of Kompany and Laporte will be self evident later on. I expect you to beat them quite comfortably tbh.
Nah people are just expecting everyone to agree, but forgetting how rife the problems were prior.. var needs tweeking but the fact is nobody is getting raped for no contact dives in the box, no contact reds or offsides by 3 yards. Sick of people moaning
Man city will win today and i think chelsea are in the title race... they look very good.. liverpool will bottle it
I’ve just given you one, the PGMOL have apologised for the penalty given wrongly by VAR and not the ref at week before last.
They’ve admitted it was a wrong call and the ‘contact’ was in no way a foul. Shame they’ve not decided to pull the Brighton player for diving and given him a 3 match ban, a rule that only seems to apply to Oumar Niasse.
Read my original post and let me know when you figure it out please... i specifically describe no contact dives... var has issues, but im pointing out the things we dont fall victim too that everyone seems to have forgotten were rife
What like blatant handballs not given, that are picked up by VAR and still not given? I’ve explained my view on VAR on the offside thread btw, can’t be arsed repeating it here.
