I notice it hasn't put the 14 year old off posting which is the reason most of the other mods give for closing down GC.
We know he is 14 cos he was wumming to start with so we were going to block him till he explained. I and the rest of the mods are generally open minded, but there is no need to start on someone like that. It was an honest question and could have given good debate. I aint going anywhere, and nor is this arguement.
Viking Erik used to say he was 20 on his profile thing and we all know that's a crock of ****e. I'll ask again, how do you know for sure he's 14? His assurance? GC has changed over the last what, 6 months? Any more changes and it will be as sanitary as 606 was. This is Not606. You'll do well to remember that.
It's actually not. It caters, like most boards on here, for a certain group of people. You either join in or you don't.
What should GC be reserved for then? Bullshit threads about who is going to win the x factor etc? I like the banter on here, I don't want another 606 where the moment someone says something that could even slightly be construed as offensive the thread is pulled and the poster banned. I wouldn't worry about a 14 yr old being overly sensitive either, by the time they hit that age they probably know more foul language and sick jokes than most of us.
We also have his name and checked it verses Facebook. Also others actually know him and have seen him at matches. We know he is 14!!!! No one is saying it has to be like 606, but there is no need to abuse and verbally assault people for valid comments which you might disagree with!
