Hitler,a career. Chilling yet amazing. The film they have of him and his squad is amazing. 2. 5 hours worth. Well worth a watch easily the closest to ww2 that we will get an understanding of.
Do itmate, real eye opener. Don't let the naff 1970s opening titles put you off. The film they have is incredible.
Cheers, I’m at hospital this morning so took the day off work. I’m intrigued with documentaries about warfare so this will fill my afternoon in. I watched apache warriors yesterday which was interesting about the Calvary 6-6 apache squadron in the gulf war and what they went through at the start of it.
I'll give it a watch. I love the WW2 footage. Given my age and what have you I am still slightly uneducated about this event.
I'll give it a watch. I don't know if this is available on line but it's tremendous too. WW1 footage enhanced by Peter Jackson
I looked at this and thought I cba but think I’ll give it a look later. Cheers. @Danube That was one of the best bits of TV I’ve seen. Mind blowing and the colour/sound just bring it all to life. Absolute class.
Watch - Einsatzgruppen on Netflix this is one seriously hard-hitting documentary about the SS group. Another absolute must is the Ken Burns documentary titled 'Vietnam' quite probably the best documentary I have ever seen starting in the 1950's all the way until the withdrawal in the mid 1970's. Brilliant.
Watched a few episodes last night and have to say that it’s outstanding. Very in depth, looks at every strain of the nazi party. The Mrs even sat watching it without falling asleep...
The Hitler one mate. I’ll watch the one you’ve mentioned later. Read about the Einsatzgeuppen but not watched much.
I've seen neither yet but will definitely watch both. Just wasn't sure which one you were referring to. Cheers.
Hitler one is quality so far. With it being tv I thought a bit would be skimmed over but it’s very thorough. From 2% of a vote to controlling most of Europe in 15 years, madness... Ive got some treats coming up as I’ve never watched any of the Ken Burns documentaries. Started the civil war one butt only a couple episodes in iirc. Anyone have any other recommendations?
Yeah Ken Burns documentary - Vietnam War & The West, November 13th Attack on Paris, Losers, The Staircase. There's a few to keep you busy.
