yeah they don't concede many and goals have been an issue for them which is a bit like us , but they can play better football, so I think it's going to a close contest. If we can win it would be huge for us.

I wonder if Arsenal fans have it in them to admit they should have respected Wenger more and they would be better off if he'd stayed

Wenger's a top manager, as is being proved by Bayern's interest.

They hardly ****ed him over. He was the longest serving manager in the PL. I think he had taken them as far as he could, they had been stagnating for a whileand it was time to try something new.
Maybe Emery wasn't the right choice. They really need somebody to build them again from the back - a Benitez or Simeone.

they turned their back on him because they think they deserve to win things every year and forgot they were winning **** all when he took over … they ****ed him over big time

Not at all. They showed a lot of patience. I agree that he was one of the most successful managers of the PL era but there was no doubt they were in a rut. Just because it hasn’t improved doesn’t mean they were wrong.

patience for what ? they were doing well ! this is the issue with fans they get a taste of success and think they deserve it. Now who's to blame apart from the fact other clubs now have caught up thus making it harder? they ****ed him over through their own arrogance and ignorance. it's not just Arsenal fans btw it's all of the ****ers … I remember the bobby robson out brigade too.

But they weren’t doing well by their own high standards. All clubs want to push on (apart from us of course). The other clubs caught up but it was as much about them getting worse than the other clubs getting better - you only have to look at their European form to confirm that.

high standards based on what wenger created and not some god given right to expect that forever ! this only strengthens my point ! look at what has happened to clubs across Europe ! the landscape is changing all the time , so it annoys me when fans think because they've held a high position for a few years they have the right to keep it ! fans need to get real look at the list of clubs and look at the money they ALL spend now and have a rethink … you don't own a place at the top whoever you are

it's just monopoly and things change constantly !!! look at sky those ****s put a satellite up in 85 and had 30 years holding all the cards , but along came broadband and the BT come back from the brink. it's all the same ****

Of course you don’t own a place and nobody is arguing that but wtf is wrong with fans wanting their club to strive for success and expecting the club to take action when they are stagnating. Are you saying that Arsenal should have stuck with Wenger until he decided to go?

who says it wasn't ? you think they all of sudden stopped trying ? or do you think the takeovers at Chelsea, city and the clubs taken over in france, Italy and across the world hasn't made things more difficult ? all clubs have money now !! it's such a small minded approach to think the club doesn't try it's best … like I say people need to realise the landscapes changed and clubs are jostling for position. it's got harder simple as that!

There is no doubt that the landscape has changed - the smaller clubs are more likely to give the big clubs a game because of the influence of the TV money.

The club felt that in order to challenge right at the top they needed a change and that change was a manager.

Presumably when Leicester sacked Ranieri you felt they ****ed him over as well. It seemed like a harsh decision at the time but it has paid off. Managers cannot and should not survive on their past successes.
