When Saints score how do you celebrate?

Discussion in 'Southampton' started by CBK, Sep 19, 2011.

?

How do you celebrate a Saints goal?

  1. Jump up, one fist clenched and pumping furiously

  2. Jump straight up, both hands raised straight before clapping above my head

  3. Hugger, I grab the nearest person to me

  4. Bundler, I tend to fall side to side or forward and bang my shins on the seats

  5. I gently rise out of my seat and applaud in a civilised manner

  6. Jump up and down in little hops and clapping like a silly girl

  7. I almost fall out of my armchair/bed/internet chair at home

I think it's a bit harder to be subtle about it when you have to climb over 3 rows of seats to get near the fit bird. At my age, I'd still be climbing over the last few seats next to her ,when they kicked off.

I just sit and text the good news to my mates who couldn't make the game.

All the jumping up and down and cheering leaves me shattered these days. When I get home on a Saturday evening these days I am so exhausted I am not fit enough for anything else. Much to Mrs Godders disappointment.

Why dont you kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak. Take her to the game, and give her a bit of the old Godders magic when we score and everyone's all over each other.I'm thinking of doing that with Mrs Duck, because I've estimated there's about 45 seconds of mayhem once we've scored, after years and years of marriage, thats plenty enough time ........

As I get older, I'm slowly moving down that list. I can't jump up, so I gently rise, but I still like to make a bit of noise. I lost my voice for 24 hrs after the Forest game, such was the relief when the winner went in.

I go literally mad. It's not even funny. At the MK dons come back last year i took a group of reading fans, who are used to the graveyard that is madejski and they couldnt believe the atmosphere.

When forte scored the winner we had a ridiculous bundle with pretty much the whole of the northam i think...

Most of the time I am on my own, so just resort to fist pumping and singing. Except if there is a hugger next to me, which i am always happy to be involved in. Always.

Jump up ad down and hug. If it's a massive goal then it's usually bundle style.

I jump up, hands in air then clap wildly. Then I realise we haven't won the game yet and sit down still clapping and thinking Saints don't blow this now. Still have a bit of old Saints thinking.

I did my usual fist in the air at Wembley for the JPT - unfortunately the guy behind me was in the falling forward category, and I caught him straight under the chin and knocked him back in his seat. After a quick apology, we decided a hug would be better next time
