What ever the reason was, it was a brilliant move on PLs' part.

I agree though it was probably best for DeLaet to step aside as he must have been feeling pretty bad inside knowing he probably has not played to his full potential or thinks he has let the side down in previous matches.

As for Grant, well I am going to guess we are likely to less of him in the starting line up with pace in attack becoming far more important. Would expect to see him come on later on in games though to either try and turn a game round or just to pose different problems for opposing defences. A bit part perhaps but still an important element to the squad.

Agreed, but there needs to be a balance as he is a great leader and creates good morale for the crowd and the team. Heard he played well coming off the bench on saturday. Actually did he play at all on saturday? Also, who was captain on saturday? I guess R Martin was captain?

Good to see him come in for De Laet and play well given he is mainly a right back.

Just great to see Lambert can make bi changes and we can still get a win!

Hoolahoops was captain until his late substitution.
No idea after that, it was too 'squeaky-bum' to worry as 10 man Bolton poured forward and dominated us <yikes>

this could work in our benefit by rotating the squad, people are fresher and fired up to perform when it's their opportunity.

dave, we look at our own short comings first (and there is a lot) before blaming anybody else. Just a shame you boys didn't have that grown up ethos!

Guru - we all of us agree Tierney's acting was no oscar-winning performance, where we differ from your view is that you don't think it's a red card offence! Strange really as his own manager saw it as a red card offence and has fined the player, who has admitted the offence and apologised to his manager and team-mates!

Makes your histrionics look brater silly!

It's positive that Lambert has dropped Holt, I absolutely hate to say it but he looks a yard off the pace and a lot of games seems to be missing headers and generally looking very scrappy. I'd rather start with Vaughan instead of Morison though, I think his pace will cause people problems.
