QPR have a chance as we do to to win the league. The Einstein comment is spot on, Wenger does the same things and never changes but expects different results lol
'Champions League Qualification = Gone.' I'm not known for irresponsible optimism but I think it's fair to assume utd, City and Chelsea claim the fist 3 spots, the 4th spot you would expect to be a battle between Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and possibly Villa or Everton. There are clearly weaknesses within all of that group so I can't agree the 4th spot is beyond us. I agree the title is beyond us but I think anyone with double digit brain cells knew this before a ball was kicked.
It's still to play for, Pool Arsenal and Spurs are nothing great this season, Spurs had a good win but they were awful in earlier games also. We need a massive imrpovement in all areas but it's still early days to write them off. Defensive coach would be all I ask right now but Wenger being the stubborn git he is won't have it.
Although we are looking rather pathetic of recent, i still think we are in for a shout for 4th place. I think most of Wenger and the boards effors will be on getting a champs league place, which could mean no trophy again... I don't see much good happening this season, in fact it might bring even more damage than we think. Our last remaining top players might get there heads turned. If one of the top European teams come in sniffing then i can see players like Van Persie, Wilshere and Sagna all going. Instead of building, we have regressed as a team. You think the fans only see this? Fabregas and Nasri saw this and left. Our last 3 remaining players will follow suit and who will we have left? What a depressing thought.
The worrying thing though is that our form goes back 16 EPL matches over the course of six months and with no end to the rot in sight.....
i think you are too full of doom, and it is ridiculous to write a season off if you should lose tomorrow. tuesday night should be your launchpad for the season, albeit delayed. a defence coach, morale and confidence lifted and 2 or 3 wins will i hope have you wondering what all the fuss was about. come on you reds, and er the shrews
Yo Ayy Jayy I recall one Rafa B who a couple of years ago always said that Pool's season began with the next match ( after they had just lost the most recent one ). Our season should have started in August but we were simply unprepared. I know it does happen to even some of the most professional outfits like Formula 1 teams but it is no consolation. And I can feel miserable if I want to!!!!!!
I think I, like everyone is aware a season is 38 matches but you fail to appreciate that I am referring to our form over the past 16 which is ongoing..... How is your proposed record of 38 matches supposed to show up better? Our form for the last 38 games would still show that we have only won 3 of the last 16 matches. The 38 matches to March 2011 would be a better record but the 38 to September 2011 will not read very well because of these last 16 matches. You can google Arsenal's seasons on Wiki and check for yourself. Just for your edification I've worked out the results for you. 38 Games to Post Carling ( Games 1-27 of 2010/2011 Season and Games 28-38 of 2009/2010 Season ) Total Score - 76 points 2010/2011 Season Games 1-38 Total Score - 68 points Last 38 Games including current season ( 2010/2011 Season Games 6-38 and 2011/2012 games 1-5 ) Total Score - 61 points As you can see we are on a downward trend because of the EPL scores between March and September this year.
