Good Morning. Its Wednesday 6th November, and here is the latest news from Elland Road Rob Green tipped for cameo role at Elland Road Rob Green has been tipped to rejoin Leeds, albeit on a short term contract in preparation should Kiko Casilla receive a ban from the FA for racist language. The 39 yo shot stopper hung up his gloves at the end of last season after 609 league appearances, 46 of which were for the Whites during their 2016-17 campaign. Leeds are restricted to unattached players as the transfer window does not open until January 1st. Other players who remain without a club include:- Joe Ledley Wilfried Bony Johan Djourou Martin Olsson Victor Anichebe Jordan Spence Ben Marshall Matt Jarvis Efe Ambrose please log in to view this image Whelan - Patrick brings so much more to the team Ex White, now soccer pundit Noel Whelan has leapt to the defence of Patrick Bamford following weeks of torment on social media about the 26 yo's efforts in front of goal. “His work-rate, application and effort has been exceptional, and his work for the team and his teammates has been immense. They will certainly appreciate him in the dressing room. “Can Nketiah do the same work as Patrick? Probably not. We are talking about two completely different types of strikers. “Nketiah is more of a natural finisher, no doubt about that. But when he has twice come on at half-time, we have lost rhythm and not been the same free-flowing Leeds. Patrick brings so much more to the team.” “I can see where the fans are coming from and this is a debate that isn’t going away,” “But Patrick is getting unfairly criticised. please log in to view this image Tyler Roberts - our new Saiz? Last weekend we saw Tyler Roberts take on an unfamiliar number 10 role. Considering it was his first start of the season, and he was playing in a slightly different role than he would normally, the 20yo picked up many plaudits on his performance. Could Roberts be our new Sami Saiz, or are we trying to fit a square peg into a round hole? Do we expect Bielsa to continue with this tactic? please log in to view this image
I'm a fan of Roberts and after that performance I hope its his place to loose. I wouldn't mind seeing Green back as cover. Morning all
Rob Green.... not for me, get the French lad in, let’s use what we got, show the FA that we are not hurting, fck em, start singing from the terraces they are bent twats, all of them. Noel Whelan has a lot to say these days, maybe a replacement for when Amigo fcks off.... I THINK NOT!!!!
shut up Eire Illian Meslier is for me the best keeper in the division and should be ample cover. I like Miazek but he isnt in the same league as the young Frenchman. Rob Greene has retired and only played once last season, so seems strange choice. the Paddy Bamford argument will rage on for a while so pointless getting involved as we've all talked it to death already anyone else sick to death of International breaks? Seems like the season has just started and we are about to have the 3rd break
Good MORNING TO MATT AND CO from a dull Bardsey Lets hope Kiko gets off as Rob Green will want a load of money for nothing Leif Davis has been compared to Bale so it looks like we have found another nugget from Morecambe Bay I believe and I thought all you found there was cockles
Afternoon all, Roberts deserves to keep his place, Leif does too but with Pablo returning who will be sacrificed? If the French keeper isn’t good enough to cover Kiko then we shouldn’t have him, if Kiko gets banned we’ll have to throw him in
Just been reading a selection of rovers fans tweets. All think it’s bull and many saying he’s not near the level required for Leeds. Think he’s the lad that got a couple of run outs with Eire not that that would mean a lot
Nope Green is like a memory and while I thought he was good in the system we had then how we play now really wouldn't be a match. He could be a good coach for "traditional" goal keeping skills but not a player that I would have back as we really do have better, if less experienced.
