It was a cracking game but to suggest that Chelsea were ever on top when it was 11 v 11 is just ridiculous but I appreciate that he must be utterly ****ed at 4am Thai time.
Mate Ajax are class. Just makes our win over there look ****ing brilliant. Ajax were very good tonight.
Reece James is too good to be sitting on the bench. Saw a bit of him at Wigan last season, the lad has real talent. Think he’ll end up as a midfielder as well btw. Vault me.
I saw a lot of him playing for the youth teams. Massive talent who will soon be a 1st team regular and England player.
Oh god; I didn’t think it was possible, but Chelsea fans have found a way to be even more insufferable than before.
You drew against 9 men and now you’re Barcelona Edit; you did better than Barcelona did last night tbf
Ha, real life. Cousin’s husband is a Chelsea fan but he’s okay really. He’ll never be as annoying as my Liverpool supporting colleague who has been to Anfield less times than me in the last 5 years.
Obviously it's in my DNA to hate Liverpool but my dislike for them is underpinned by the fact that I am a child of the 80s. I live in Surrey and so many people I know who are a similar age to me are Liverpool fans. They have no connection to the club or city, they are just 1970s and 80s glory fans yet they sermonise like they are part of some mystical family that only other Liverpool fans can fully understand. I fully appreciate that people in their 20s/30s who are United fans from Plymouth are probably equally annoying, although I don't think they crap on that "it's like being in a catheeeeeeeeeeeeeeedral" after their one and only trip to OT to watch a Carling Cup game against Rotherham
The quasi religious element is definitely a Liverpool thing. I’m old enough to know a couple of “Cockney Whites” still raving about Johnny Giles and Peter Lorimer. What a terrible boyhood decision that turned out to be, eh?
When I was in my teens in the 70s we used to catch coaches to away games from Humberstone Gate in Leicester City centre., then the venue for all coaches coming through / departing Leicester. There was one every week to Leeds games home and away. Sure, some getting on were exiled Yorkshiremen ... but over half were glory boys from Leicestershire. Complete twats who would try to wind us up with chants of "Champions" .. provided the police were around, of course - which they always were, given the potential for mayhem. . Not surprisingly the coach ceased when Liverpool ascended and Leeds declined. Thankfully it wasn't replaced by one for plastic Scousers.
Wrong, when it was 11 vs 11 we got the second back. We were all over them and had a couple of chances to get the third before the pen. The third was coming and possibly a fourth, but they could have scored up the our end again too. Epic.[/QUOTE] Despite Ajax scoring in second half we played very well from minute 45 to 68 when it was 11 vs 11 and had a ridiculous amount of chances More than when Ajax went down to 9. Even first half we had more shots on goal than them and a goal disallowed to make it 2-1. Mad mad game. Overall 23: 8. 9 to 5 on target.
Yes, people been saying one day he will be Chelsea captain for a couple of years now. We may have to move Azpi to left back and rotate with Emerson soon!
