I believe that a government response to an Intelligence and Security Commission report is usually provided within six months from when it is submitted.

I wouldnt know to be fair. Just a lot of people, some who helped investigate it and write it saying it has passed all completions.

security and intelligence agencies confirmed that all measures necessary to protect sensitive information have already been taken and they have no objection to the report being made public.

It started clearance late March, so it had already taken 6 months before Boiisov got it 17 October. All I've read say protocols are clear No 10 should publish it within 10 days of receipt, otherwise he should have given good reasons for not doing so to the Security and Intelligence committee, which he hasn't done.

It does make one wonder why? Like I say, it may be full of nothing but surely we have a right to know. Also, praise to those who have made the public aware of its existence. C'mon Borisov

That's being contradicted by Jo Coburn of the BBC's Daily Politics programme at lunchtime, who confirms the average time the government takes to consider such reports is 6 weeks. Dominic Grieve in Parliament today appears to be asking the government to expedite this to get the report out. Puts a different complexion on it.

The National Audit office say successive Tory governments have failed to build even one of the promised Starter Homes for first time buyers under 40. In 2015 in their manifesto, they promised 200,000 by 2020. What do you get from Tories, only promises, promises, promiises, and now they go outside the laws of the land to deliver their Brexit. And don't. Promises, promises, promises.....

It's clearly an attempt at cover up of security cleared information damaging to the Tory government before the election.

Shame on the media sources who aren’t making much of a fuss.

That's one way of looking at it, and it's clear the government are not falling over themselves to get the report out. The other is that based on average time, the government would have 6 weeks from 17th October to consider it, and it's not as though Johnson and his advisors have had time on their hands, negotiating the amended Brexit agreement and calling time and time again for a GE.

I don't think necessarily. They don't want anything to cloud the issue at the GE, and their central tenet namely, here's the deal with the EU ready for you. Vote for us and it's done. Even Corbyn is adopting the mantra, we'll get Brexit done speedily. Voters are just sick to death of delay and obfuscation

Well the issue won't go away until they do release it, or it gets leaked.

I agree it may get leaked. But then the government wouldn't comment on its veracity or otherwise. And so far, certain newspapers have made some suggestions as to content that are pretty wide of the mark apparently

I know. If we all start clamouring for us not to be told, Boris will publish it. There's a logic in there somewhere. Has he actually opened his mouth since the campaign started? I only hear about Corbyn, Swinson and Sturgeon so can only assume he has been gagged for now before we, the natives, start asking too many questions along the lines of "How?" He doesn't need to tell us "How much?" as whatever we went he and, tbf others as well, will promise to triple it. Wake me up when it's time to vote.

The ****s won’t release the impact assessments of their own ****ing **** deal so it’s a bit much to ask them to willingly release a damning indictment of the party and Leave campaign when they can just make stuff up about Corbyn and have their tummies tickled by the press.
