Factual that Rangers fans didn't save their own club. Agreed.

Factual that Rangers travelling through the leagues was a godsend to the real small clubs.

Factual that your small club and the others in the SPL did all they could to secure the Rangers FC television rights. Total league reconstruction being the ultimate outcome. Rangers in the third division were getting better viewing figures than every SPL club.

This is because, as you well know, it's all about the Rangers.

So clubs that had been around decades before Rangers fans showed up needed those 4 visits to survive? Amazing.

Elgin City were formed in the late 1800s. It wasn't until 2000 that they were granted league status. Rumour is they were only granted that because 13 years later Rangers fans were going to show up a couple of times. Without that their application would never have been approved as they couldn't have survived.

Oooft! Dougal can't handle the truth.

Playing Rangers in the lower leagues was a massive boost to those clubs. That is an undeniable truth.

Meanwhile back in the "premier" league the Champions, by far the biggest club in the league had to close half its stadium because the place was empty. I dare say the teams they were left to play against didn't have the pulling power or interest of a certain club no longer in the top division.

That's because, as you well know, it's all about the Rangers.

I don't deny that it wasn't a boost of money for them. I deny it saved them.

And aren't teams in the top division (Hibs, Killie, Dons, Celtic) all reducing your allocations?

Trouble free? Didn't they have a partial stadium closure not a few weeks ago?

If it was up to me I'd tell them to ram their allocation. The Blue pound has been keeping those leeches alive for decades.
