Ralls was excellent yesterday, makes me ponder his worth in monetary values.... 15 million perhaps? Maybe time to cash in and bring in some Oxford players! :emoticon-0103-cool: Other lower league clubs available!

The lads were really nervous to start with, I am tremendously proud of the character they showed, they knew how bad they were at Swansea. The only way to get the fans back in favour was to show how much it means to us and we did that, I am so proud of them all.

"I was chanting with the fans 'Warnock sort it out' I was thinking, 'come on, get a grip' so I am pleased I managed to sort it out as we have a great group of fans and you couldn't blame them for being upset last week.

"When we play well there are not many better teams than us in the division… so the season starts now really.

"It is one of the best wins since I have been at the club, under the circumstances. You could see how nervous the players were… We had to put a performance on for the fans and we did. They stayed and saluted us even though they must have been wet through."

I sense a bit of bully here....would he have changed the situation without the chants? :emoticon-0103-cool:

I saw the game higher up due to the rain and so saw the game from a different perspective than usual.

What stood out for me was how slow our central midfield are especially Pack.

Ps 2 goalkeeper errors by Etheridge although he made some smart saves.

Pack is the new Gunnar - not a lot of pace but very influential. Ralls is the workhorse.

All we need now is a playmaker in January, because there is something not sitting right to me with the Tomlin situation at the club.

Yes, despite his goals, that was Ralls game of the season - and the previous 2.

Still not sure about Pack with him operating mainly in front of the back four. He doesn't drive forward enough for me although his longer passing range is good. I thought Bacuna had a good game as well. Once we settled in the first half he was picking up a lot of loose ball from our defence and taking it forward.

When we went down to 10, both Flint and Bennett upped their game and Willie Nelson got steadier as the game went on. More in the Manga mould of picking up runners as they came through midfield and getting in some good blocks and tackles.

NML is a bit of a mystery. Great run to set up Ralls and a couple more good runs from half way where I thought he could have gone on and put the centre back under pressure. At other times he didn't seem to know what was going on.

Peltier in the first half was the worst I have seen him play for a couple of years. He was supposed to be marking the big guy but let him have a freebie on the ball. Etheridge did well to save but couldn't stop the charge for the rebound.

First 20 minutes we were shocking and I thought we were in for a drubbing but somehow they managed to rein in their very useful no. 7, things settled down and we got a lucky penalty. From then on we were in control despite Ward's sending off. It looked more like a yellow than a red to me.

Due to the rain, BT and I found some seats at the back of the Ninian. Still as bloody wet up there. However, how do most of the fans manage to get up and down there? It's like coffin dodgers corner. I hope they have a defib machine up there. Too much excitement could see a few of them off.

Ward was definitely a Red card Bluey. Right in front of me and he jumped in both feet. Don't think it was premeditated, but if one of their players had done that, we'd have been baying for blood.

Must say I agree with you about NML. He often looks "lost" and unsure what to do. Give him the ball though with his head down and he has the ability to tear up this division.

I've been up the top of the Ninian as well Blue and could have done with some oxygen after that climb. And like yourself I'm a runner.
However I think there is a lift there as well.

It’s no secret that Flint had a shiit season last year with ‘Boro, so not too impressed is Masky, thus far! This win agains Birmingham was welcome, but still no forward scorer! Stick Morrison up front...might work! :emoticon-0103-cool:
