As it happens I made the mistake of going shopping with the missus today. Weeping Jesus on the Cross ! What a ****ing horrendous experience shopping is. ****s everywhere. People dithering on their phones not looking where they are going. People pushing and shoving to try and get to the ****e on the shelves. Women leaving buggies and prams all over the place. Old biddies with zero ****ing awareness of anybody or anything around them. ****s driving like selfish ****s and people generally behaving like spoilt self absorbed **** knuckles. I can hardly believe that for loads of people this is what they look forward to on a weekend after working 9-5 mon-fri. What a ****ing depressing existence. I'm so grateful that I left that sort of lifestyle behind a long time ago. Give me rocks, moss and the solitude of the open countryside any day of the week.
A man after my own heart. The internet was invented to spare man from this kind of unholy hell.....or was that women....either way, it can get ****ed clean off.
Playing a gig at The Five Horseman in Winchester. We play there every other week and tickets sell out 6 or 7 years in advance. The minge will be flying about that's for sure. I'm going to take a helmet and a stick of lettuce.
Where was this? I try very hard to never go city centre or big mall shopping on a Saturday if I can help it. Well, ever really but sometimes it has to be done I suppose.
We headlined a festival in Truro. Baz and Maz did an a capella version of Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me. I just stood at the back looking cool and eying up the local flange.
I think I saw you mate. It was that time during the eclipse of the sun back in 99. Everybody said it was the moon passing in front of the sun, but I knew there had to be another explanation.
used to be some nice local shops there for example a small Deli come wine outlet near the Cathedral 'which was an outlet for some company that supplied local hotels etc, which had some really nice wines at good prices . Last time i was there it was the same shops as everywhere .
Yep there are some great local businesses in Truro, I know as I'm one of them. But yes the High St is dominated like every identikit town centre in the UK. And like most places they've built out of town retail parks, so the town centre takes a hit.
My folks moved down to some village a few miles from Newquay so we used to go & stay most for about a week most years so knew the area quite well but thats now nearly 20 years ago .
Great gig last night lads. We were really rocking and didn't come off stage until 8.30pm. The flange was flying about all over the place. Chaz, Maz, Waz and Gaz partook but I just wanted to get home for a cheeky Dry Martini and a couple of hours of playing with my chemistry set.
I've flown my chopper in worse conditions. I actively look for bad weather opportunities as it provides a skilled pilot like me with more of a challenge.
So far today the guys have come and started my rewire. I've gone with spotlights in the bedrooms, bathroom and living room. Big chandelier on the passage over the stairs. Normal hanging lights in the kitchen, dining room and hallway. Getting new security light fitted outside back door too. The lads are going to be coming over the next two weekends to finish it. That's about it really. Had a shawarma wrap from the Lebanese for dinner. Was nice.
