I really like Warnock's open and honest interview style.

When asked about Barton, he just achnowledged that QPR were lucky to sign him and might not have done so if Barton were the model character as well as a good footballer.

He is not pretentious and is happy to work within the limts of QPR as is, with an eye to the genuine vision and future potential that we all hope for.

Speaking of which, TF does seem serious in at least discussing business with Beckham and Co. That would be an amazing coup though Harry must be in a strong position too.

The heady days of being a QPR fan.

Warnock's always been straightforward, calls a spade a shovel, he won't change...

Yeah the press said that about Wolves last week, after Saturday they said they'd be favorites to go down.

I have to say that some of NWs efforts at toeing the party line during the summer were verging on the cringeworthy and not at all 'open and honest'. Generally however, I too like his straight talking Yorkshire style. TBH, what with this and the fact that we are playing some great football means I'm on the verge of becoming a Warnock convert! When he arrived we feared hoofball and 10 man defences; instead we got promotion and Shaun Wright Phillips. Hats off to Neil.

If he hadn't towed the party line, he might not be with us now - Briatore is not known for his tolerance towards managers who, for whatever reason, he has a grudge against

AAAAARGGHH - Didn't you hear his interview after the Wolves game? He said he's waited all his life for this opportunity and if its to be his last job he's not going to play for a point, he's going to set the side up to attack and grab all 3 points. He also said of course we'll get beaten now and again but I do like his candour.

After Saturday I thought we could beat pretty much anyone in this division on our day.

Probably the closest he'll get to an apology off you!
    Asset stripping was it? <doh>

Exactly, where we would we have been with one Flavs dodgy managerial picks in charge of the TonyF money?

I remember Warnock saying at the start of the season he changed his philosophy on the game after watching how Blackpool played last season. His idea was you can set up with ten men behind the ball trying to stop the opposition and still get thrashed, by taking the game to your opponents you actually have a chance and if you fail at least you've given it your best shot. Perhaps Olly has shown the way, albeit defending a bit better than Blackpool did...

No apology here. Had Fernades not stepped in we would be looking at guaranteed relegation with NW going down with the sinking ship and probably entering QPR folklore as man who outdid Ray Wilkins in terms of collusion. Contrast what he has to say now about what's required to be competitive in the PL to his comments over the summer when he was still talking up our chances of surviving with pretty much zero new investment.

Anyhow, we are now living in a different world and NW along with Fernandes are saying all the right things. NW sounds very comfortable and wise in his new situation and more importantly has got the new squad playing great football which was always a question mark I had against the man based on his past. It's time for all of us to move on and enjoy the future. U Rrrrsssss!

I'm sorry, I don't like having a go, but this time you've asked for it. What a prize plonker you are. "towing the line"???? "the man who outdid Ray Wilkins in terms of collusion"??? What the feck are you on????

Are you the only fan who doesn't understand that Warnock had to bite his tongue over what was going on otherwise he wouldn't be with us now. He was publicly slapped down for starting to speak his mind in the press and if he'd continued he'd of been sacked before the takeover. Everyone knew that a takeover was in the offing and would eventually happen, but what purpose would it have served for Warnock to get himself sacked before it happened???

Warnock would never have towed the line with the goons and I'm sure he'd have left by now if the sale hadn't of gone through. But for you to spout this rubbish is beyond me.

With opinions like that, no wonder you're called AAAAAGH! I suspect there may be a hint of devil's advocate in it.

For me, the proof of the pudding relating to Warnock's summertime 'collusions' with his (then) employers, was in an aside he made to our Sooperhoop (I think it was) who encountered NW on a day out at Windsor. 'They're still here', he said, before moving on with his family. That comment was made shortly after NW's 'cringeworthy' public statement backing the Goons.

Any manager anywhere well knows you're employed to support the party line. Openness and honesty are personal luxuries you are paid to hold back on. Full marks to Warnock for discipline imo, and strategy.

Anyway, CernoPhil probably ITK'd him up to the Goons exit and better days to come, in return for a visit to the training ground and an audience with Mordy!
