Totally agree, not wumming but what has happened to him, i used to hope that he would not be playing against us (with Son who is imho your best player) but his form just appears to have gone off a cliff somewhere ? Was it the injury ?
Everyone battering Eriksen...the entire front 4 has been appalling. Lucas continues to reinforce my opinion of him: he is an impact sub, no more. Alli and Eriksen...well, we know full well what to expect from them by now. Son has been disappointing.
Complete failure to impose ourselves and as everyone agrees Eriksen is awful. I too am at a loss to understand why he is on the pitch.
Lucas has at least tried as has Son but without supply of the ball what can they do. Eriksen is giving the ball away with almost every touch and destroying what momentum we manage to produce.
Eriksen goes down even further in my estimation with every game. When you look at what he has done singlehandedly for Denmark and compare it to his couldn't care less attitude at present, it's unbelievable. I didn't think he would be so unprofessional. It's strange because the clubs he might want to play for won't be interested if he continues to play like this.
Ndombele has played well and Gazzaniga has been a calming influence at the back which has led to our back line bringing the ball out confidently. The massive issue is that neither Dele nor Eriksen are linking up th midfield to the attack or putting the ball out wide. Their passing and link up play has been beyond woeful. It's like playing with two Ozils.
The only thing going in Son and Lucas’ favour is that they’re being played out of position so I won’t be too harsh on them. How Eriksen and Alli are still getting picked though on this form just baffles me. Still, at least we can look forward to Gio and Sess getting 5 minutes.
Injuries are an issue but TBH it is rumoured that he is too wrapped up in off the field issues. Whatever the truth, he simply has not delivered on the pitch any where near enough.
