I don't see Ox and Keita having being first choice in the three, would leave us too exposed. But it's nice to have the options
Keita will be. Ox can be too. Both have the work rate, both pose more of a threat going forward. Hendo has a physical presence that the above two do not, so against the more physical teams, he will always be picked imo.
According to Atkinson and Moss it's legal to deliberately throw your arm up to block a shot on goal Thank **** those clowns couldn't referee the CL final
VAR is a failure in this country. The referees have ensured that they don’t have to be accountable for sh*t decisions and as such what should have been something that ensured fairness is actually the opposite. Right now it’s an expensive offside tool....but as that takes away from the passion, if it’s just that, perhaps we should bin it altogether - unless the referees man up and start to review their own decisions.
The problem always was and always will be PGMOL They invent their own self-assessment rules to protect themselves and now just use VAR as another tool to serve themselves not the game
The VAR refs have nowt to do with offside decisions they are made by the VAR technicians , though obviously it's not stated outright , as they are the one that manipulates the computer program to set up the lines and in doing so determine if a player is offside or not.
ah should have tried VIP league mine was rock solid is that **** handball . They well make any contact with the arm in the box an offence in future but not yet and if/when they do expect to see CB's with stumps or flippers in high demand ..
Didn't watch it but I would have been annoyed had I seen it. Three games we've done that in recently. I think it's a Klopp thing though; when he first arrived he said every goal should be celebrated like it's your first or a cup winner.
Tell you what if we had not scored that second goal we should have had a pen Defender has his arms all over firmino round his neck holding
And more contact on mane than there was on delafau (?) for Watford I think both were dives but defo more contact on Manes right foot than the other VAR really getting messed up
Var is fairly pointless now, it was always going to be an.issue with subjective descions, but they seem to be just making it up as they go along, much like the refs did before but without the delay.
I think they are doing it deliberately It was great in the men’s World Cup But been implemented shockingly in england
I'm not sure how they have managed it, champions league had it and it was well implemented, world cup again well implemented, premier league ****ed it right up. I'm not sure how they could have done it worse to be honest
Liverpool points won from behind since Klopp's arrival (PL only) Season Points won from behind PL rank 2015/16 13 5th 2016/17 18 1st 2017/18 9 13th 2018/19 16 1st 2019/20 10 1st
I disagree that it was well implemented in the CL/WC - After all that's why the PL have done it differently in the first place. I'm of the opinion that it's not possible to implement it in a way that doesn't negatively impact the game. No matter how you do it still won't remove doubt as most things are subjective.
Maybe your right, I just dont remember it being a major talking point in either tournament, which is generally a good barometer of how good the ref or virtual ref was. The subjectivity of the football is always going to be an issue, I hoped it would clear up some of the worse descions, thinking about it maybe it has, diving seems to be less and I'm certainly not seeing as many penalties given for it. It's a difficult thing to quantify, if its had any effect on player behaviour? I do know its pissing me off.
