If you say so, can't be arsed to try. I've had thrice cooked chips or whatever in enough restaurants to know it's not worth the effort, they're chips.
I think my last chip making experience has finished off any future efforts to make the perfect chip. My boy only likes chip shop chips. So a few weeks ago I parboiled some home made chips, let them go stone cold, oven cooked them and then finished them off in an oily frying pan. He ate about two and facked off to play on his X Box. I ate them. They were outstanding but not worth the effort.
Well yes, they are. Taste of potato like other chips though so just the same really. A well cooked chip is a well cooked chip, you don't need to cook them three times for that.
Mostly the sauce. The steak was ok, probably wouldn't choose to eat it again, but it didn't need to be smothered in chocolate.
Loads of rice ideas here. https://www.mashed.com/51551/things-never-thought-add-rice/ I must admit, when I have a curry I always have plain rice. Get the flavour from the sauce.
